I read part of it and you also say the same things I say. It's just that for you they might represent "a good." Well, conflicting opinions. ;)) bye and see you next time.

Sorry Socrates, but I don't have time to read the review this morning. However, I trust you completely and I'll give it the highest score because as you write, it's truly "a beautiful thing" (the one by Devendra and Iron & W. was excellent). Unfortunately, the fact is that this group is really something terrifying. The atmospheres they propose are terrible, the voice exactly like Damon Albarn's, and the music is the same as "Different Class" by Pulp. In short, they have fallen a bit behind. If we add the theft of everything that Morrissey has done in his life and the heaviness of every single track, it results in a real mess of bad things. I also reviewed it... saying that it’s garbage.

Exactly, I honestly wish, like you, that on the next album he would experiment a bit more, if not with an electronic base (on which, in my opinion, his voice would sound great), at least with some "electric riffs" or, I don’t know, a less folk and more rock twist... but I guess that’s a bit impossible... never say never anyway...

Great job! Perfect review, with no flaws in form or content. Devendra Banhart is, in my opinion, the male musical figure of 2004: starting from the music for answering machines in "The black babies" and "Oh Me Oh My...", he found his natural style with the last two albums and the production by M. Gira, which at first may have missed the mark slightly but then made a great recovery with "Rejoicing."

listened to: very similar to the others. That is, gospel influences, pop rock with inflated guitar riffs but also some gems. Nice.

Anonymous, for me, they not only sound musically similar, but the timbre of Cardamone's voice is sometimes eerily reminiscent of Billy's (Up Against The Wall Motherfu**ers is proof of that). By saying that the album reminds me a lot of Mellon Collie (the harder parts of Mellon Collie, because for the ballads I think one should look elsewhere), I'm not saying it's a bad thing or anything like that; there's simply a very similar approach to the sound. Unfortunately, I have never listened to Jesus Lizard, so I can't tell you. Bye!
