Nanni Svampa All'osteria con Nanni Svampa

Those who are seasoned, but not from Milan, may remember him for some television appearances alongside Lino Patruno, an unforgettable Italian jazzman, who was also with the Gufi until their disbandment in '69. I agree with what Hal says, even though this snapshot of old Milanese life didn’t disappoint me, being from Naples.

If I remember correctly, "Twin Cinema" has already earned a spot in your year-end playlist. With Bejar being one of the major "shareholders" of that collective, I think you should at least give it a listen. P.S. Have you taken a look? What do you think? Bye.

Thank you for the comments from everyone who participated so far. I'm sorry for having jumped ahead of Zia and Kid, especially since our convergences on the album are broad and both would have contributed to the cause of spreading Bejar's "word." @ Fidia, you are forgiven, also because you could be my architect. Don't fret, it's not worth it. Just imagine, there are people who have never read Bangs and live happily ever after. ;-)

Guess what photo is on my desktop: Viale (leaves are falling...); and you expect me not to at least listen to these seasonal workers? ;-)

I trust you completely, especially if the genre you're focusing on is the one to which this album belongs. Let's go listen to this orchestra.

I say this without beating around the bush: I also have a bit of a soft spot for "this face that’s full of shit," as the reviewer rightly and colorfully puts it. When we compare the mainstream represented by Idol with the current one, this face (with or without Culo) stands tall like a giant. Perhaps calling it a small masterpiece is a bit much, but...

For the editors: is it possible to change the album title? The correct one is "Destroyer's Rubies." Thanks.

I've heard great things about them, and you confirm it wonderfully. I was already inclined to like them; now I absolutely must listen to them.
Renato Sellani Trio A Bruno Lauzi
Voto:
I've always liked Lauzi and he is one of the few who has excelled both as a songwriter and as a performer. His versions of "Onda su onda," "Ritornerai," "Genova per noi," "L'aquila," just to mention the first ones that come to mind, will go down in the history of Italian music. May the earth be light upon him. P.S. If I may suggest, you might want to change that initial tautology, "omaggiamo," to "omaggio," but you’re excused because it’s clear you wrote it in a rush, riding the emotional wave. I’ll buy the album.

I am one of those who, as soon as I found it at an acceptable price, repurchased it since the album was now unserviceable. It goes without saying that there are many memories associated with it. In its genre, so often overlooked around here, it approaches the top.
