Morgan, even without the parenthesis, I would have taken it as a nice compliment. Indeed, with the latest reviews, I have unintentionally touched upon all the continents. For someone like me who sees music also as a tool for knowledge and bringing together peoples, cultures, and generations, being compared, in the spirit you do, to an atlas can only bring a smile. As long, however, as it is a physical atlas and not a political one. Music laughs in the face of borders.

As the heroic Fantozzi said, "And this I’ll gobble up!". I hope not to get burned like the distinguished employee. It will certainly make a splendid impression on the list. ;-)

"Horse & Fish" is more immediate and "warm"; this one takes more time to be loved, but it does a great job at it. I understand, though, those who prefer the previous one. @kosmo, whenever you're around, it's always a pleasure for me. Ah, I almost forgot. In Naples, "papielli" refers to an exaggeratedly long and wordy piece of writing. I think it derives from the Pope and his lengthy sermons. "Nun fa' 'nu papiell'!" :-) Thanks also to the latest contributors.

A report I value, being a fan of Carla Bley and, above all, Robert Wyatt. Taking a look at the credits, as aje says, there are plenty of fine musicians.

Thanks to the patient and attentive commentators of my "papielli" (even those who are not Neapolitan will have understood the term). A special greeting to the "new entry" JOP, whom I could only make capitulate with the help of the Redeemer. ;-) Anyway, this review is dedicated, I hope he won't take offense, to the one who made me discover this album, the good "desaparecido" pacino. I also want to point out another remarkable album by Vinicius, "Horse & Fish," which according to some, including a knowledgeable friend of mine in Brazilian matters and beyond, is worth this, if not more. For me, they are on the same level.

I read "Tokyo Blues" too many years ago, but I remember there were references to a lot of music from different genres, especially jazz: a great source of inspiration. A point of view on the "brilliant reel" as always.

Album (re) bought just recently. Indeed, the "gratitude walks"... I share Black's opinion.

Whoever wrote "Nature Boy" must surely have connections with some supernatural entity...Great call.

I have always viewed with a certain skepticism, later confirmed by questionable results, the interpretations of pop-rock music by opera singers. But every rule has its exception; who knows, maybe this is one of them. The samples, which I am not a strong proponent of, are this time necessary.
