Cleo, a propensity for masochism seems evident to me... I am made of different stuff. ;-)
I am just suffering from one of the most severe forms of perversion: monogamy. :-))

Husbands always make mistakes... I still haven't understood if just one of the three characteristics is enough to fall into the category you prefer. In that case, I could hope for the next 15 years. :-))
Alice In Chains Jar Of Flies

Trends come and go, debates about what could be defined as "grunge" fade away, but fortunately, works like these remain, having nonetheless marked a musical era.

For me, it's among the albums of the year, even though they are all covers. Good review.
Bob Dylan Oh Mercy

Trust me, trust me... Benzo used to say it to emphasize Bob's greatness, if I understood correctly, more than to criticize the names mentioned. Do you confirm?
Joseph Arthur And The Thieves Are Gone
Voto:
I don't know the entire body of work by Arthur as deeply as you do, but I have listened to some of his albums, and I found them quite enjoyable: "Redemption's Son," for example.
John Campbell One Believer

What a coincidence! I’m watching these days the 7 films produced by Scorsese on the blues; in addition to Scorsese himself, there are also Wenders and Eastwood. The blues is at the core of everything, and this artist you’re suggesting with your usual effectiveness is someone I intend to discover as soon as possible.
Diverse One A.M.
Voto:
I've always liked old school rap. My favorites are Arrested Development, Beastie Boys, De La Soul, but also the Bristol scene, Galliano, acid jazz—groups and movements that owe a lot to rap.
Recently, I've become a bit disillusioned, as I see too much homogenization. I don't know Diverse, but they seem interesting from Semples.
The Dears No Cities Left
Voto:
I don't share this judgment of artificiality and baroque style. If you prefer acoustics, the guitar-bass-drums, and musical pauperism, then anyone who adds a little "spice" will seem excessive and overly loaded. The Dears have ideas, in my opinion, and nothing, not even the arrangement, is an end in itself. In the album, there is also a lot of variety.
Bob Dylan Oh Mercy
Voto:
A magnificent album, perhaps the most underrated by the great Bob. All the tracks deserve mention, but there’s "Political World," which is one of my favorites of his, and there are many songs to choose from. By the way, my musical innocence ended when I listened to "Hurricane" on the radio: nothing was ever the same again.
