the movement doesn't suck at all, in fact. besides the MBV, it would be worth revisiting Nowhere and Going Blank Again by Ride, Slowdive, Seefeel are the first ones that come to mind.

the album is indeed nice even though it could have been better if there were more songs like the first one and fewer like must leave london, which is an embarrassing Morrissey-esque pastiche despite its close resemblance to the original, even in the way the words are pronounced. however, I repeat, the album is nice.
P.I.L. That What Is Not

Oky doky Punisher, let me ask you a curiosity then: what do you think of Metal Box? Do you really believe that everything Lydon has produced is rubbish, or have you exaggerated and let your emotions take over because you might have spent money on This is What is Not, which rightfully makes you angry? By the way, I also have the vinyl of the 86 album, which doesn't really convince me much either.

The problem, punisher, isn’t listening to this album that I don’t know and don’t want to know. The problem is that you're predictable, you know? You take the worst albums and tear them apart; that’s easy, you’re predictable, you always do that. So take the second PIL album, Metal Box/Second Edition, review that one, tear that apart; don’t act like bullies who pick on the (albums in this case) weaker ones. If you want to criticize Lydon entirely, saying he’s a piece of rock trash is perfectly fine with me, but challenge yourself with the higher points, not with the duds; that’s just too easy. Cheers.
Morrissey You Are The Quarry

Well, we can gladly do without this kind of review... we understand you don't like it. It’s less clear why. America is not the world is, among other things, the least successful song on the album. The first gang to die is a great single, and this is a good record by all Moz standards. If someone doesn’t like Morrissey, it's pointless to shoot off nonsense without even justifying it. Not to mention Abattoir blues, which is certainly not to be overlooked...

Radiator (1997) 8
Guerrilla (1999) 7.5
Mwng (2000) 8
Rings Around the World (2001) 5 or 6 or 7 depending on the day
Phantom Power (2003) 6.5
Love Kraft (2005) 8

I know Animal Collective's "Sung Tongs." They seem definitely different, much more out there than SFA. SFA is always a pop group, even if they are original. This last album doesn't grab you right away; it's not immediate, the songs aren't catchy, but the sound is nice, or at least it seems that way to me.

Franz Ferdinand You Could Have It So Much Better
Voto:
I haven't heard the album, but if a bad day is evident from the morning, it can't be that great: the single is horrendous. Really disgusting.
