I remember Sub Pop as a seal of quality assurance, so I believe this Mr. Craft should be listened to, on trust. I need new blood and to refresh my listening repertoire; it’s urgent to get out of the musical mothballs I’ve settled into to rest, due to lack of time, existential emptiness, and the feeling that everything sounds familiar. A solid 5 for your review, and I’ll be sure to add this album to my list of upcoming new listens!

Congratulations on the amazing review, I really like it. Talk Talk and all that similar genre, unfortunately no, it's not my thing. I was sailing towards wild shores back then... so I don't rate the work, but the review is at least worth 6 stars!

Great review, but this genre really isn't my thing, and it doesn’t seem like my area. But never say never; as soon as I have time, I’ll give them a listen, you’ve piqued my curiosity...

I can only tell you that your review brought tears of emotion to my eyes: superb, heartfelt, overflowing with poetry. I was very attached to Cohen, not just to his music, and I miss him. Thank you.

No, what a heart-stopping moment! When I was little, I buried my roots in dark/new wave and a bit in gothic, I went through a phase where I was as pale as a corpse bride and dressed irreparably in black leather and lace, with long raven hair streaked with purple and matching lipstick. It’s worth mentioning that after a few years I evolved, and when I went to dark parties and saw fifty-year-olds in strict Doc Martens and funeral knickknacks, I would have hysterical fits. I’m sorry to learn that the dark/wave aesthetic inhibits your joy of life. Well, maybe goth style does, I agree... the mummies coming out of their sarcophagi... but come on, not dark wave!! Weren’t you also in love with Morticia Addams?

The Bellrays and Lisa: not my cup of tea, but they have grit and power to spare. And aficionados of a venue lost in the mists of the plain that intertwines between Venice and Treviso, the Altroquando, owned by a friend of mine. They play there at least one concert a year, for about ten years now. Seen them many times, then. Good job!

Found it!!!! Damn, hugged by Nick!!! 😍😍😍 If it had happened to me, I think I would have died instantly, with a silly and blissful smile plastered on my lips! I only feel sorry for poor Marina's fainting; I can only imagine the scare.... I’ll also have to write a review of my first Nick concert, and then I’ll dedicate it to you (also to Marina, who supports you in your musical passion). I can give you a sneak peek that I saw him too from the stage (there wasn’t much crowd; after him, there were the Prodigy, and everyone was waiting for them, the fools...) and that my companion back then, who was next to me, told me after the concert ended that when the King came out, I started screaming and practically almost lifted myself off the ground, in mystical ecstasy. And that throughout the performance, when he tried to talk to me, I turned to look at him and with a wide smile I invariably replied: "Nick, look!! It’s Niiickkk!!". A clear case of possession. Then I was devoured by tiger mosquitoes, and the next day I developed a terrible allergic reaction that I dragged along all summer, covered in red spots all over my body, but that's another story.... the likely divine punishment for my idolatrous and blasphemous love! 😃 Nice review, hard-earned.

While searching for your review of Nick's concert, I stumbled upon your piece about My Dying Bride, and I thought: oh, they are still around! In another life, I used to listen to them, and I liked them a lot. My favorite song was "The Crown of Sympathy": "See the light and feel my warm desire / Run through my veins like the evening sun / It will live but no eyes will see it / I'll bless your name before I die...", with its slow and majestic pace. For a moment, I even thought I had seen them live, but I got confused with Paradise Lost, whom I saw in concert, I think at Propaganda, eons ago... I listened to the entire holy trinity of doom: Bride, Paradise Lost, and Cathedral, but I wouldn't know who I preferred. Maybe it was indeed the Bride, even though I was secretly in love with Paradise Lost’s guitarist Greg McIntosh, I believe because of his flowing raven locks, goatee, and big blue eyes.... um, I digressed, as is my custom. Great review, and excellent band!
