we had a small studio. Can you believe they only had a mixer for the drums that would then feed into the main mixer and then into the recorder? We strictly used Vox amplifiers to give it that garage sound, then we mixed with a PC. But the basic concept was that nobody knew how to play an instrument. We would jam all night long without a clue, then with the sampler, you'd find a riff and loop it, without being able to do anything repeatable because you played in a trance. You'd pull off tracks like Devo on amphetamines, our standout piece was "mongoloid," as if it were played by Ivan Cattaneo.
