I'm picking it up now, but for my anesthetized tastes, they are transforming too much into a full-blown rock band, and this makes them less interesting to me.

I don't like them, but it's Merritt that bores me; frankly, I don't understand all the excitement for works that undoubtedly contain great pop numbers but fall into disarming banality, and I'm saying this as someone who dives into pop naivety. I like it more than the others I've heard, or maybe it just bores me less, "Distortotion" or whatever it's called, but certainly not synth pop "No Thanks.”

I like the Corals, I enjoy this job at different speeds and short enough that it doesn't give you time to reflect.

A little bit neurotic, but deep down they're good guys.

far from its beginnings, it seems to me a work without a future, adopting a very repetitive formula that will not take it very far.

I haven't read the report yet, and I wonder if you fall into the category of people who bought "Sonora - Itinerari Oltre Il Suono," a publication with a CD from my beloved "Materiali Sonori" in San Giovanni Valdarno, just like the title of an EP by my adored Durutti Column?

Beautiful proposal unknown to me. Lately, I have noticed that a "New World Music" scene is emerging, embracing ethnic flavors from countries known virtually only through listening to old Ethno Jazz/Kraut/Psycho works, Television, and new influences dictated by current times: Electronic, Drone, Ambient, Minimal. In short, I think a new 5th world trend is sprouting, creating landscapes from roots known only through a PC, without field research. A synthetic vision of 5th hand soundscapes that have now been transfigured, virtual postcards of sound cultures reinterpreted with contemporary languages but that have altered the essence of the original root, unlike the projects of the '70s, which were more closely linked to the seed. In other words, cultures in continuous mutation and no longer ethno but children of an ethno seed. I believe I haven’t expressed myself well, but at least it’s a starting point for a thought that may not be musical, to be viewed with critical detachment.

In a mode of distracted listening, it seems like seeing penguins among lemons. Always speaking of a fleeting listening experience, I suppose the operation is quite self-serving but, after all, being pleasant in our times of supposed musical shocks is already a good thing. A pleasant parenthesis between Radical Chic listens and boredom, but I believe that missing the mark when starting from undoubtedly good raw material is difficult. A nice light little page.

At memory name new, I suppose very intriguing. Nice mention.
