"he himself seeks a synthesis of his lives (perhaps nine like the beloved cats, no less than dogs)" I fainted...

I urge you, don’t do that!

"Even if it is reasonable to suspect that the jealousy of an ex-lover caused such horror": it may be reasonable, but it shouldn't be exclusive.

If all men have a solid alibi, why not check those of the women?

The motive could also be envy. A repressed woman, for example, might have committed the act because she "saw in Clara a woman too free, guilty only of deciding autonomously about her own sexuality."

Or revenge. A woman who knew that the girl was sleeping with her husband and wanted to punish her.

I haven't seen the film, but if, as I presume from what you write, it aims to raise awareness on the issue of unresolved murders, I hope the investigators also move in that direction.

Reading you and looking at the cover, I made the association with "Les Chants de Maldoror" by Lautréamont: sick and deformed "poetic prose."

I’m a fan of non-music, so even a non-film could pique my interest.

Nevertheless, I feel you in good shape..

I went to check out the video because the name seemed familiar. I remembered correctly: it was Willis's lookalike (Arnold's brother)!

Anyway, I don't like the piece, but maybe it's because I'm not a fan of hip-hop...

Great comeback, Mr. exhaustive.

Well, I don't know... Honestly, it's an album that tires me quite a bit, it seems to me that it doesn't hold up over the long run...
I find it lacking in boldness, a too watered-down psychedelia, it appeals to enthusiasts while simultaneously catering to a more mainstream consumption: a flip-flopping album...

Indeed, yes, the dark side of the 90s

But is he still in the game?
Besides the classic "Heresy," I think "Stalker" with Robert Rich was particularly spot on.

You're always on top of it.

The feeling is that you haven't talked about a "simple" album, but about an album by Iggy Pop... And that for certain albums, we tend to give a "distorted" evaluation based on the name of the person who produced it.
Of course, no one denies the history, the importance, and the influence of our man.
You say "wise philosopher," but if I have to evaluate from the lyrics you've quoted, I would say there's no need to be Aristotle to arrive at similar maxims.
You just need to be an old rock star not completely fried at a neuronal level.
Does an Iggy Pop album make sense today (or in 2016)? Of course it does (or it could), but – paradoxically – it should be discussed by someone who knows little about Iggy Pop.
Maybe this album is a masterpiece and you have been in the non plus ultra of objectivity, but so much (too much) of what you know about him, what you love about him, comes through.
Sometimes fame precedes judgment.
This is not necessarily a comment pertaining to this review and this album, but a more general consideration.
