Applause... An artist too underrated... The way you talk about it reminds me of this album of theirs from a few years ago.

Certainly, the topic of "evolution" opens up countless avenues... As far as I'm concerned, as a mere consumer, I find that I have a relatively different approach depending on the form of art being considered.

When I read a book, I activate a channel within me that necessarily engages with the rational sphere: to understand what I’m reading, my brain tries to grasp the meaning of the text by translating the written word.

It is, nonetheless (even in the most “imaginative” text one can think of), a conscious act, and thus I rely more on the tools of my knowledge to evaluate it, comparing what I read to other things.

What I judge as "evolution" is, for me, raw material for assessing a text.

For music, my approach is a bit different: the "enjoyment" plays a bigger role. It’s clear that if an album surprises me (even negatively), it stimulates a chain of thoughts and references within me. But if I like the sound of an album, even if it’s not extraordinarily innovative, I can simply enjoy it, just enjoy it. This is because music, unlike literature, deposits itself “directly” into the “spirit.” I don’t know, perhaps if I were a musician it would be different.

I even believe that some albums MUST be listened to while high (which is how I am now) or, in any case, not sober to truly enjoy them.

I love listening to albums while high, while I could never read a book while high (but perhaps it wouldn’t even make sense to read a book while high).

You make me sad.

The most propaganda-heavy yankee film of those years is, perhaps, Rocky IV.

The movie poster should be included anyway, not a still frame.

Well Joe..
After all, you admit it: they plagiarized you.

Maybe I'm wrong and it's an interesting record, but I don't think I'll listen.
