The Elii, unfortunately, are evidently beyond the musical capacity of the average Italian. The monotonous song that "gets tiresome in the long run," besides being an incredibly difficult piece from a technical standpoint, along with numerous references, and given its revolutionary nature in every sense (not to mention that it plays the Cuban anthem at Sanremo), clearly has (at least to my ears) a mocking message aimed at the whole Sanremo scene. Not understanding this means not understanding a damn thing. As for the rest, it seems like there isn’t one that you liked. Next time, go down and play, it's better that way.

In my opinion, it’s a film without pretensions, overall quite successful. They have fun and make others have fun, and also provide some interesting insights. The Lord is with us, the monologue on the Last Judgment by Benigni, and many little gags and quotes scattered here and there (the jezzemani, god in a panda, the tg di televaticano) are enjoyable and amusing. Is it nonsense? Of course it is.

Spectacular. Made in a period, among other things, when the enemy was no longer so much the Soviet Union, but China. And one still wonders why Carpenter doesn’t have success in America? Kurt Russell really shines in this film; going from a character like Jena to this one is no small feat. And forgive me, but Burton is not at all a parody of Jena. I don’t understand why every Carpenter film has to be compared with Escape from New York. Burton has nothing to do with Jena. Burton is simply a perfect idiot, but with a big heart. Jena is a criminal, surrounded by criminals even more criminal than him, which makes him seem almost good.

I managed to barely watch it until the end, an absurd film but with realistic pretensions (Nolan's style) full of stereotypes about teenagers and, no matter what is said, quite poorly made as well.
