Just yesterday I finished reading "Beginners" (I need to rush to the bookstore to grab some more heavy doses of Carver)... insane movie, perhaps among my top ten favorites... Altman leans on hyper-realistic micro-scenarios to create a perfect mosaic... it could have lasted another three hours... the film is like Carver, it never tires.

I don't think it's right for me....just curious: do the talking objects/colors narrate the story (from their perspective) or are they just simple digressions of the author?
