Personally, I have nothing against Morandi, neither meat nor fish; I even think he is a good artist. He had a significant breakdown in the seventies, despite the interesting interlude of 1975 "Un mondo di frutta candita" (as London mentioned above), which was the work of the Fossati-Prudente duo, making an excellent comeback from the following decade onwards. I simply don't like his timbre and his way of singing. Certainly, in this album, Lucio guides and directs him considerably in terms of rhythm and interpretation. Overall, he is someone who makes me lose the desire to listen after 3-4 tracks.

I was 9 years old when the radio played "Vita," and we sang it in our childish way. I discovered the gems and the magic of this unexplored album about a decade later, musically almost perfect, incredibly relevant, fresh, perhaps his most successful work of that period, definitely a strong 4 out of 5 and in perfect harmony with that experimental Dalla of the post "Q-Disk" (1981). If it weren't for Morandi's annoying voice, scattered here and there, to be honest, it brings it down to a 3 something. Beyond that, I find it hard to go higher. Not the best choice by Lucio to share the vocals with this pseudo-shouter from the Apennines of Bologna. Well, friendship... but still...

Very elegant pop.

No. It’s a proposal that doesn’t spark my interest. I’m not even considering it. It’s like restoring a 1972 Fiat 500L and repainting it, I don’t know, fuchsia with sienna polka dots, putting on 15-inch chrome wheels, the 1.8 i.e. engine from the Alfa 75, and tinted windows. I’m not into reinterpretations and distortions; I love originals. I definitely appreciate it more in live performances, where he can do whatever he wants, also because the sounds of the seventies and eighties are hard to reproduce perfectly, or rather, the effort to rearrange them and propose them is enormous.

"California" 1979, "Latin lover" 1982, "Puzzle" 1984, very valuable works. "Una radura" 1977, with PFM in pop version playing and arranging (none of the tracks appear in this album), all sealed in this brief, pleasant, and clever collection that will mark a watershed for what will be generated from the nineties onwards, an artist who will gradually lose her originality and become much more tacky and kitschy. The last tender and bittersweet memory I have of her is the anthem of Italia '90 with Edo. Then nothing.

With all due respect, but after Borboletta and Lotus, there's not much fuel left on the fire. 2.5

There's no point in beating around the bush... from "I" to here is a triumph of every bit of Satan's goods.

"Who is that annoying young man with the sputtering Vespa who disturbs my public peace? I see something on the jacket, then it says what does it say? SG. What do you mean? What is it? Sandro Giacobbe? Impossible, Sandro doesn't have the substance."

Double CD "the remastered edition" from 1998. That is: CD1 "Made In Japan" and CD2 "The Encores"
