Serious spelling mistake, you got it wrong; it's written and pronounced Maicol Gesso.

"The Love Letters (Chevalier de Pas)" and "The Upside-Down Sky (Last Song of Sappho)", from goosebumps. The most inspired album of the second Vecchioni. 5 all my life.

I've never seen the film. I know the album by heart because I have the double LP. Bonham in a state of grace.

I also reviewed this some time ago. You may find me in disagreement, but it is written excellently. A milestone album of singer-songwriter music.

Bitter, but essential. In those years, he produced pieces as a songwriter (including those featured on these two LPs), first brought to success by the Nomadi. Two albums that went unnoticed at the time, but were later reassessed. I agree with you and Syd: from "L'isola non trovata," a significant change in direction. 3 for the first, almost 4 for the second. Average 3.5. I give it a 4 for their historical importance. Well done, great idea of the "tandem."

In what you define as "sentimental tetralogy," I can still stomach it in single episodes up to "In questo mondo di ladri." Between '84 and '88, a few decent tracks without infamy and without praise can still be glimpsed... 7-8 songs at most. But from here on, his entire output is practically useless. This album is something cloying and embarrassing. If you think that the best track is precisely the cover of Finn, it's a bit like finding a still healthy apricot in a bag of compost.

Just on Monday afternoon, I was near Lecco visiting a friend who is very fond of the works of Van Der Sfross, and we had the chance to listen to almost all of it in her car. True, nothing new, but with exquisite class. And that Larian-Brianza dialect so radical and blended, not much different from my own. 4.5 for Van and 5 for you.

Burp! Here it is, the Tavernello D.O.C.G. I.G.T. Riserva has arrived.

Transcendental and masterful above all. The only flaw. The absence of a few tracks from "Le Nuvole," another fundamental album from his period of now definitive maturity, such as "Don Raffaé" or "Ottocento," rather than the Sardinian island piece "Monti di Mola."
