Buying a collection of 19 pieces by Battiato is like driving a Lamborghini Diablo on the Milan-Venice highway at 45km/h in the emergency lane... pointless.

One of the best debut albums in all of rock. The first 4 albums remain untouchable.

I know it, but I've never drawn my listening from the product. Beautiful review, however after Stratos's death and before the breakup, you neglect to mention that shining gem published in 1980 which is "Tic & Tac," a superb album completely lacking in inventiveness, which I personally adore.

Well, "the complaining laced with swear words of L'avvelenata" was a purely provocative invective towards Bertoncelli, who in 1974, after "Stanze," declared him a finished singer-songwriter. It's clear that Guccio was quite resentful about it. While it’s true that in the years to come, the two reconciled over beer and sausages, the song remains a generational anthem. As for the rest, I find the album certainly among the best (4.5), but not deserving of full marks, even though it’s very close. I reserve the 5 for others. "Il pensionato" has a realism and melancholy that is terrifying, and I haven't had the courage to face it for many years.

Yes, a plagiarism for me too, no less important than other titanic artists, proponents of genres like blues, rockabilly, and rock'n roll, who have lived off each other for a century of plagiarisms. The same 3 chords from Robert Johnson or Muddy Waters to Jerry Lee Lewis (whom I reviewed a couple of years ago), where I rationally highlighted the identical chord sequence appearing in billions and billions of other songs, without diminishing the historical importance of it all... Too bad that only the Prof is a scandal. One who, until the previous album, had sold a mere 1,000 copies. He was unfortunate enough to find success in 1977 precisely with a plagiarism (or a homage? Does anyone have any updates on that?). By the way, "Voglio una donna" is also heavily inspired by "I'm Goin' Down" by the Boss, recorded 8 years earlier. A century of regurgitated chords against a couple of songs by an Italian singer-songwriter that nobody cares about abroad. Well... Anyway, 5 for the album and 3 for you, because I don't agree with the argument about fillers.

Well arrived on the atoll Debaser. Good album, very pleasant and marking a change in sound and arrangements (although at that time, his talent was so enormous that just he and a piano would have been enough to fill an LP), although I consider the subsequent "The Stranger," "52nd Street," and "Glass Houses" (1977-80) untouchable.

Orfeo disgusting Can to Hell

Little meat on the fire. Removed, at most 3-4 tracks that stand out and an honest lexical vein that is never banal, which has nonetheless never let me down over the years, the album overall does not take flight. In less suspicious times, it has certainly done better. 2.5

Aside from the fact that "Safari" is for me the only listenable album by Cherubino (3), I believe that "L'illogica Allegria" (from the album "Pressione Bassa", year of grace 1980) by Mister G, still overshadows his entire discography from Ghimmifaiv to the present day.

Everyone can go to hell, because today is not a good day. It’s not my best, even if it's close, but I at least count it in the Top Five. 4.5 for the album and 4 for you.
