The album is of impressive craftsmanship both in terms of lyrics and music, but it does not, in my opinion, reach the peak of "Samarcanda." "Stranamore" and "Il castello" are great tracks, the only downside is that they tend to go around in circles a bit too much. It bothers me, but it's a 4.5 downward. Nonetheless, it remains a fundamental point in Vecchioni's discography.

The arrangements are meticulously crafted. In fact, in "Parigi," there’s a nod to "Rondò veneziano." The recurring dream blends with cinema, a great passion of Vecchioni. It’s a solid 4, generously given.

9 pieces from previous productions adorned with new and clever arrangements and 6 interesting unreleased tracks, two of which (the title track and "Calle mai più") are divided into two parts. Great work.

After the courageous "Ippopotami," "Milady," and partly "Per amore mio," the music finally returns to being more balanced and cheeky throughout the album, with the style that I prefer from the Professor. "Euridice" sends shivers down the spine. The usual omnipresent themes beloved by the artist. The title track is a tribute to the turning point of his 50 years.

Fantastic, starting from the cover. When you open the vinyl, you really play the Game of the Goose. Alternative twists in the music, lyrics that are, as always, excellent.

Fatamorgana, free thought. Vecchioni also has a couple of 2s and 3s here and there that I will honestly include (for now, I haven't found the time) in the comments of other old reviews. Along with Ipertensione Elisir and Samarcanda, I consider this a 5. Then it's up to you.

Stefano90. It's obvious that there is an abyss between Vecchioni and Beethoven, but they are completely different and incomparable genres. Here we are talking about singer-songwriter music, about De André, Guccini, Gaber, or the same Vecchioni who have educated us. Beethoven educated us along with other geniuses of his time. The Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin did it for rock. Muddy Waters for the blues, and so on... Everything should be given the right weight based on the context and historical period.

Judah dog! Grave lapse. In my hurry, I completely forgot to mention Pazienza's drawing. Pardòn

We're in a bad place. Between Earthquake and Infinity, there are only 6 years. But they feel like 6 centuries! What an Antonacci mess these guys have created? Each one more similar to the other. My goodness! Don't even get me started on the lyrics.

Rightly slim review. There's not much to say, there are only 2 unreleased tracks. Impetuous and well-crafted music from start to finish. "Sole nero" almost at the level of "Maudit" and "A denti stretti". "Barcollo" is not bad, but not very engaging. For now, it's a 3. I patiently await a new studio work that's more comprehensive. The test will be there. I don’t understand those who criticize unjustly, "sad return," or "the Litfiba are dead after this or that album"... This work deserves to be considered for what it is. An honest and energetic live performance in a well-packaged '90s style. If in a while they release some commercial crap, we will vote based on that.
