Reception so-so: the second part feels like it's taken from a school textbook. Poetry and poet are beyond comment (of course in a good way :D). Anyway, if we really want to, you could also mention the lines from Mimnermos and another four lines taken from Book VI of the Iliad, from which Ungaretti draws the theme of life compared to leaves!
