No, but you nunmistaisuibal, I don't hate you for not thinking like me, nor do I label you as bimbominkia/poser/noncapisciuncazzo etc... like metalheads (and teenagelobotomy) do. Anyway, the discussion is inevitable; the Beatles took a lot from the Beach Boys, and vice versa. But what can you do? I prefer albums like Sgt. Pepper's and Abbey Road to Please Please Me (which should be censored). As for the rest, I don't like them that much (really??). Unlike Scaruffi, I don't just claim "They couldn't play" (the ability to play doesn't mean anything). I consider them a MEDIOCRE band, not SHITTY.

This is a great album, Lennon is an excellent songwriter, better as a solo artist than with the Beatles.

Scaruffi is a pseudo-know-it-all, just read what he says about literature, how horrifying. Chuck Berry cannot be questioned, Chuck Berry mainly worked for America and had a different sound; you can talk about Buddy Holly, while considering him far from the Beatles, who were nonetheless influenced by him. The first Doors album isn't terrible, but it’s not a 9 out of 10; it's a 7 out of 10; I know about a dozen albums that are 9 out of 10.
