Remarkable album! I didn't know this band, but I think I'll look into their other works because I really enjoyed this record. Atmospheres that are both dreamy and melancholic, which I have a weakness for. "Bound" and "Boundless" are my two favorite tracks (especially the second), followed by "As Far as the Eye Can See."

I also agree about the commas. Those were the good old days when the top of the line were the Mr.Day in sponge cake with the white chocolate medallion on top. Damn progress!

A bastard hardcore punk album, as good as the debut album, but from such veterans, you wouldn't expect anything less! Lombardo is still a formidable drummer (curious to hear him again in Testament), and listening to Pearson sing alongside Patton makes me shed a tear and hope that one day, The Locust machine will start up again.

A good album, obviously a continuation of TBH&C, in its strengths and its weaknesses. Several beautiful tracks... "Big Ideas" is wonderful, my favorite!

Great album, I'm not too crazy about the vocals, but it's a nice very melodic and catchy mix!

So, here we are. A bit of a weak album at the beginning, I liked it more after repeated listens. It's definitely their catchiest album ever.

That song placed as the intro... meh. And to think that Slipknot has always started their albums with strange intros, a bit horror but also atmospheric, it's strange to hear them kick off an album with a predominantly melodic song.

What else is there to say... it's a good album with some interesting songs (I think 'Medicine for the Dead' is currently my favorite track along with 'H377' and 'Hive Mind').

We all know they will never make another song like 'Sic', 'Eyeless', 'Surfacing', or 'Disasterpiece' or even 'The Nameless'; here every song is a potential single, which is basically the musical direction this band has taken since "5.: The Gray Chapter," which isn't a bad thing considering they've been around for nearly 30 years and it's obviously positive to see a group of their caliber still motivated to stay relevant, making albums that also rank high in various music charts.

What I would like, as a long-time fan, is for them to explore more of the symphonic elements they're trying to introduce here and there; I also enjoy those little industrial/electronic passages in some tracks. In summary, I wish they would experiment more! They just need to find the perfect balance between being catchy and experimentation, while not renouncing their now well-known sound. "We Are Not Your Kind" was a good compromise in that sense.

Legendary Freddie Gibbs has hardly missed a beat with his albums since the beginning. Even works like "Shadow of a Doubt" and "Baby Face Killa" hold their own alongside classics like "Piñata" and the more recent "Bandana" and "Alfredo."

This new, excellent album actually feels like a compendium of the different styles explored in all of these mentioned albums; it's almost like "Shadow of a Doubt" part 2 (also an album that encapsulated various styles), but there's a lot more awareness, versatility, and he can practically hold his own on any type of beat, from Madlib to The Alchemist, including Kenny Beats and Tyler, The Creator... I don’t think there are many contemporary rappers with a résumé like his.

The track with DJ Paul is another perfect example, and I swear, I’d love to hear him rap over Memphis-style beats again. If a less technical rapper like 21 Savage can do it, I don't see why the good Freddie can't insist on giving us more collaborations with that kind of sound.

Can you believe I still have to hear it? A band I've loved since I was a spotty fifteen-year-old, and "Iowa," the self-titled one, and also "Vol. 3" seemed to me back then like the most extreme stuff ever, considering they were my first heavy band along with Pantera... I listened to nothing but them, Korn, SOAD, and very little else. Over the years, I've continued to listen to them, especially appreciating "All Hope Is Gone." Even the latest one was quite good.

This is without a doubt the first review I’ve read that speaks positively about it... I’ll definitely give it another listen!

Monumental. My favorite album of 2021!
