the album is good but, who knows why, I never feel like listening to it again... I prefer the "singer-songwriters" from 40 years ago, they seem much more visceral and in some cases more experimental.

I bought this record in February but I won't rate it because I still haven't formed a clear opinion... anyway, it doesn't seem bad and I would be curious to listen to the one before it as well.

a substantial review and the great Swans. The album in question was sent to me by Amazon UK and should arrive in two days... the wait is nothing short of excruciating. Regarding recommendations, I personally prefer Filth and Cop, then Soundtrack for the Blind. Children of God has never really impressed me much. And the one before this I find negligible. Interesting also is Gira's Circus Mort, but you'd better download it because it costs a fortune, having never been reissued on CD. I know nothing about White Light, I refuse to download it, and it's available used at prohibitive prices: Gira is a jerk, will he ever reissue it?

I don't mind them, or rather, I like this one and the slow trend, the others not so much. Anyway, my interest in them has dwindled significantly over the years. Let's say 3.5. The slow trend is superior.

After reading here, I ordered the CD (actually the deluxe edition of this and Sandy), it arrived a couple of hours ago, and it seems to me to be of crystal-clear beauty. A very beautiful discovery. Thank you for writing the review. I didn't know this artist at all.

Look, I liked the review, but I don’t think I’ll ever buy the album. After so many reviews, I’ve gotten bored. I understand that everyone can and should share their opinion, but there are tons of CDs that deserve just as much attention, if not more, than this band (washed up?). My issue is with Iron Maiden and Dream Theater. I apologize if I came off as rude; I'm just a bit impatient.

but it doesn't seem like a bad review to me... I also like travelogue. but do you know the group from before? they were called the future and the human league, really bizarre and similar to cabaret voltaire. the CD reissue came out in 2003 but I don't have it anymore... maybe give them a try.

Well, it seems to me that the cover and the title are inseparable. Bill Laswell has a discography that's too sprawling; Near Nadir with Ikue Mori and another one I didn't even like... But, but he partially produced one of my all-time favorite albums, the album by Sapho (the Franco-Moroccan chanteuse) which is ethnic and has digital rhythms: Digital Sheikha from '98. Lao, maybe you should listen to it. You might find it useless, but I adore that album, and Bill has always wanted to work with her. The 42,000 lire better spent!

No, it's really not my kind. I won't give the rating I would like to avoid coming off as a jerk.
