I’m listening. Their old records blew me away because they had a sound I didn’t expect from post-rock… I’d say this goes even further… Should we also dig up Yanqui UXO? (if it was spelled that way). I reiterate, great review!

Unfortunately, the horrible digipack reissues prevent me from buying this and other albums of theirs... we want the jewel box back!

beautiful cover = beautiful review! I'll buy it tomorrow so when I listen to it, I'll feel really badass like Marcellus Wallace! and just like this review

Yes, the album is a bit dull. Highway Kind (a live album from those years) was much more moving. Anyway, it’s not my genre. Neither is Live at Old Quarter.

It seems like a good hard rock album (which isn't exactly my genre). However, I understand your disappointment. Right now, I have "Us Around the World" playing in the background, the intro is really Iron Maiden, eh... anyway, you’ve written some quite sensible things.

I like the review. However, I think I'll buy the album, also because I'm not a fan of Maiden (I only like Live After Death), but if it's a good rock album, how could I hold back? I would be tempted to give it a 5 just for the cover :)

Well done! I'm almost going to order it! I hope your next review is on Fight Like a Girl. PS: It has nothing to do with it, but still... what do you think of the new Tori with old songs reworked? It comes out on Monday, but I don't think I'll buy it... as already widely advertised, I prefer the earlier stuff...

they have the name of my cat (yes, I owe it to them). 5 to the review, 5 of trust to the album. I know the cover with robertina, magnificent!

Look, you’re right: it’s a matter of taste. I know she’s good, but I just can’t get into her singer-songwriter style. This coming from someone who adores female artists. But people like Frida Hyvönen (her album this year is beautiful), some of Cat Power’s songs (like the latest), Emilie Autumn, the folk singers like Sandy Denny or Bridget St. John (who I admit have little in common with Joan), or others like Annette Peacock or Kitty Brazelton who venture into the avant-garde, are superior. It’s a partial and heterogeneous list just to say that I really like female voices. But even Joan’s first album left me quite puzzled... Anyway, I liked the review.

The only leftist thing about the CCCP was the Soviet iconography. Ferretti has always been Catholic. And also "reactionary," it just took him a lifetime to realize it. It's understandable that many are disappointed, but he has finally found himself 100%. This is coming from me, who doesn't appreciate his "turn" at all. But I repeat, if people had listened to the CCCP carefully, they would have understood that the left had very little to do with it...
