Petrol L'Amore È Un Cane [EP]

not bad this EP, but "dal fondo" is their masterpiece.

I didn't know them... anyway, to connect with the above discussion, I can't stand the voice of the singer of the Meat Puppets on the second album... it ruins all the dazzling melodies, from "oh me" to "lake of fire" and so on... what a shame.

I STILL HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS BUT THE 2 I’VE HEARD (NARCOTIC STORY AND LET ME BE A WOMAN) MADE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH THEM!! BUT I MISSED THEM AT THE CONCERT… ARGHHHH
Oxbow The Narcotic Story
Voto:
THE ALBUM FOR ME IS SUPERB BOTH IN THE INSTRUMENTAL AND VOCAL PART (EUGENE'S EXPRESSIVENESS REMINDS ME AND ALMOST MATCHES THAT OF DAVID YOW FROM JESUS LIZARD)... HOWEVER, I FIND THE RECE, NO MATTER HOW ORIGINAL, DEFINITELY HARD TO SWALLOW.
Petrol Dal Fondo

beautiful disc
The Offspring Americana

There are some noteworthy tracks (like "the kids aren't alright"), but I find most of them either simple fillers or completely embarrassing (like "pretty fly"). The production is more polished than a Britney Spears album... punk rock, no matter how catchy, should evoke something much more in my opinion.

The only "commercial" punk-rock group from the '90s that ever meant something to me... I might prefer IOTH to this album, but it's still pretty good... nice riffs and a great guitar tone, catchy melodies, straightforward tracks... then with Americana they really lost their way— "pretty fly" is nothing short of embarrassing.
