I heard them on my space and I kinda liked them. Perhaps, as you rightly pointed out, the "kraut" mentioned could mislead the reader a bit. Not that the reference to the German scene didn't fit (indeed), but I was expecting something lysergically retro (futuristic?). Well done, I think I'll track down the album this week.

Today is Kraut day. Maybe it’s because a few days ago we celebrated a "well-known" twentieth anniversary. The same discussion we had for the Guru Guru; when I'm back in my lisergiKrauta phase, I'll let you know. In the meantime, great review.

The review is truly excellent, and the references brought up (especially the underrated The Triffids) encourage me to listen to them. Australia made in the Eighties deserves to be reassessed once more.

This and "Reverence" are the only two albums by Faithless that I would still listen to today and, probably, the only ones worth noting from the London combo. Perhaps, perhaps, they're a bit too mythologized. Nice review, maybe a bit lengthy.

Great review. With Guru Guru, I stopped at the excellent "Ufo," the only one I could find original (in person, of course). When I go back to a more kraut/lysergic phase, I'll give this one a listen.
