I wrote in a rather cryptic language, have mercy. xD

I saw dubstep being born, like many others, and probably right now (but also for the past couple of years) the proliferation of releases goes hand in hand with a decline in quality. So many records, so many well-trodden paths. I say this also based on the fact that, for those who are even minimally involved in the electronic scene (or have followed the genre), typically two out of ten sets impress in terms of quality, selection, or something else. Nice, fun, but in my opinion, it’s not the future as many insist; rather, it's a nice chapter of the present, which stands on its own. A bit like all genres of electronic music. And I speak as someone who frequents parties and events. Nice record, though.

Among current bands, they are one of my favorites. They don't take themselves too seriously, and maybe that's why they're so great. We need more like them. The debut is still the best for me, but this one comes pretty close. Four out of five (not that there's a lack of quality).

It could interest me, even though there’s one by Shitmat. Or maybe there’s no connection to him at all. I will consider it!

More than the (good) review, I was intrigued by imasoulman's comment. I'll see to get it.

Nice "Nurse", also quite cool and fun even if full of early '90s references, "Trublegum" has some great ideas, but it never caught me (or maybe I never let myself be caught, having listened to it relatively little) and terrible "High Anxiety". Good, yes, but from here to aspiring to be generational idols, as some have suggested, it seems a long way off. Maybe I'm overlooking some essential albums along the way and I don't realize it.

I only have "Vivid," which was given to me by a dear drummer a few years ago. Always appreciated, never lingered on. Maybe I’ve also heard something from the 2003 comeback, but I don’t have clear memories.

I just listened to it again on MySpace. At times it's captivating, but fundamentally it's permeated by a sense of "deja vu" that prevents me from fully appreciating it. It deserves a couple more listens, but I don't think it can go beyond being categorized as "good." Quite a bit of craft.

I heard the album streaming on MySpace and decided to get it. And what’s the point of saying it? I still haven't done it. As many have rightly pointed out, it's a step forward compared to "City Of Echoes."
