Thurston Moore Demolished Thoughts
Voto:
I caught a glimpse of it and it's not bad at all (just like the soundtrack of the Simon Werner movie with the band), despite what those who see Sonic Youth as the Rolling Stones of independent rock might think.
Tom Verlaine Cover
Voto:
With the Verlaine series (including Television) I'm stuck at the self-titled solo album. I've seen this one (and the previous one) around at fairs, and if I come across it, I’ll grab it.

I took it for the Linderian cover, and in the end, I did well. This kind of "revivalism" is always welcome around here.
James Blake James Blake
Voto:
In fact, before releasing the cover of Feist as a single, he had already published several tracks in a minor format, and besides, no one ever talked about album of the year (have you heard the Iceage and the Teenage Panzerkorps?), but he is definitely among the releases to remember in a fundamentally scarce year. I don't understand why Jamie Woon and not James Blake, by the way. Let's agree to disagree and leave it at that?
Meat Puppets Live @ Latte + Brescia, 21.05.11

I would have gladly gone to Livorno, but I didn’t receive any support. Take a look here, as there is a series of concerts from the glorious years, including the epic Gila Monster Jamboree, from 1985, to say the least: Wohlers.org - Meat Puppets Live Repository

The album is well arranged, has good vocal lines and acts somewhat as a trailblazer/catalyst for the entire Dubstep/Soul scene (or Post Dubstep, whatever you prefer). It’s definitely more focused than stuff like Darkstar and the same Jamie Woon mentioned here. In the end, whether we like it or not, it will be among the albums of the year.
Bongwater Double Bummer

I even prefer them to an Ice Bong. Just kidding, only sometimes.

Very interesting, worth trying. Lately, I’ve been listening to "Hope Freaks" by Pre, from the always-praised Skin Graft catalog, and it’s not half bad.
The Books The Way Out
Voto:
Perhaps the least beautiful of the Books so far.
