Touching page, yours and the one (in the margin) that they wrote in the Indie Rock landscape of the nineties.

Found on LP in Berlin for a modest six euros, these are the joys of life!

Album of the year, no bullshit. You've made it clear the legacy they come from. "Broken Bone," fucking hell.

The McLusky are indeed amazing, but maybe they never made a grand masterpiece, even though "Do Dallas" is pretty close.

My speech, as I mentioned above, extends to 4 (particular: 4.5).

Damn, I had forgotten about Animal Collective. Bad thing, faulty memory.

Come on, but also "A Sun That Never Sets" by Neurosis, "Asect:Dsect" by Devine, and "Abscence" by Dalek.

Come on, I can't resist, I'll throw this out there right away: "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" by Wilco, "Mount Eerie" by Microphones, the 2000 album by Storm & Stress with its endless title, the Sightnings with "Through The Panama," Black Dice with "Beaches & Canyon," "Supersilent 6," "Theorist Attack" by Won James Won, "Illinois" by Sufjan Stevens, maybe the already mentioned Godspeed, "Lateralus" by Tool, something that I now need to identify by Bonnie Prince Billy, and "Microcastle" by Deerhunter. More may come later, but this is what my instinct tells me.

I wouldn't want to come across as nihilistic, nostalgic, or anything like that, but I wouldn't give a five to anyone. If we're being picky, a 4.5, which could be equivalent to an 8.5, might be given, but it's worth some thought.

I think the effect of repetition/hypnosis is more than refined. Let’s not forget that someone like LaMonte Young - who I certainly wouldn’t call a jerk - created two-hour drones with the exact same note. I'm not saying they're his protégés or that there are traces of him here, but the approach is the same.
