Stoney, if I can, I'll try to respond to you. On one hand, I believe I understand your doubts; in fact, when talking about Slayer, it’s hard not to mention adjectives related to metal, but this is for a simple reason: Slayer has always played metal and almost always (aside from a few experiments that I wouldn't even consider that striking on albums like "Diabolus In Musica") they have done so following a very precise style, I would dare to say static. However, let me also add that it's typical and recognizable; in fact, in the extreme scene, many bands include "Slayer-esque riffs or solos" in their albums (see the solo in "Triesteitaliana" by our own Novembre). In conclusion, people either love (or hate) Slayer precisely for this, and personally, I like them because they create "simple," direct, and immediate music, but that’s where personal tastes come into play. Bye, and I hope I've been helpful.

In my opinion, Cornell hit the nail on the head; in fact, Slayer offers music that aims to please a specific target audience, namely those who love speed, violence, and aggression. If you want something more "thoughtful" and innovative, just turn the corner, and there are bands that are much more technical, melodic, and original than Slayer, even though I personally adore this group.

I really like the album, I won't rate the review because I think it's a joke. Bye and have a good evening.

Don't worry Sid, anyway I'm not complaining for one reason: I can't force you to like me or to resonate with my ideas, but in the end it's fair this way, I had a civil discussion with you and I appreciated it (I'm serious, without rhetoric or false kindness). So I wish you a good evening and hope there's no resentment :-)

REPARTOAMENA my intention was absolutely not to insult those who do not love Paramore; my point is different, let me explain better: it's often heard from brazen youngsters phrases like: "You don't understand a damn thing about music, listen to your old crap and stay in the past, the future is different and you want to be left out" (this has happened to me, and if it hasn't happened to you, well then I chose the wrong example). However, sometimes these reactions (not always, often they arise purely from stupidity) are motivated by an equally "strong" way of expressing things, that is: "You're still a kid, when you grow up you'll understand music and you’ll see that you won't listen to this crap anymore!" So, I’ve been told the second phrase many times, and I simply didn't respond for one reason: after more than ten years, I still listen, alongside Coltrane, Clash, VU, Pink Floyd, etc., to the bands that back then drove me (and still do) crazy, like Helloween, Gamma Ray, Metallica, Slayer, and the like. In conclusion, I think that a bit more politeness and sadness from all sides can only work wonders. I repeat: no offense to anyone! Hello and good afternoon.

For example, I was intrigued by the groups belonging to the so-called "Legiones Noire" (I don’t know if it’s spelled that way), as the idea of the French "sottobosco" fascinated me. Then, after listening to them (some of them, obviously not all), I was truly disappointed; I found them so cacophonous that they seemed "almost" deflated! But again, it’s all a matter of taste. My point isn’t to demonize the underground (otherwise I’d fall into another absurdity, that is, famous=good and underground=garbage, and all my analysis would gladly go to hell) but just to highlight that good music can be found anywhere, even in the mainstream. I must say I’m not a fan of Paramore (though I like "Decode"), so I think I have a certain impartiality in my judgment. In fact, I give their work a 3; it's a standard product that can garner some agreement. Hello and good afternoon.
