Nice review, I don't know the album and its creators so I won't rate it, I'll give it a listen later; right now I’m once again under the spell of a Thrash "hangover" that I think will last for quite a while! Hi everyone and have a great evening.

If you read my other comments, you'll see that I'm really the last person who wants to be the bearer of some so-called truth or wants to be snobbish. My point is simply another one, which perhaps wasn't very clear from my previous post: in Italy, we often tend to glorify two/three/four products through TV, radio, news broadcasts, and newspapers, while keeping other scenes as limited and suffocated as possible, giving them few opportunities to express themselves and musically dragging our country down. This doesn't mean that anyone listening to Ligabue is an idiot; that's not what I mean at all. However, for me, it's not rock, period! What I think is missing, in my humble opinion, is a bit of balance. Music is diverse, there's so much of everything, and from what I can see on Debaser, people "shit" on everything, from extreme metal to jazz to dance music, all the way to "precious and authentic" records. Yet, I don't seem to have seen any news reports about the 50th anniversary of "Kind Of Blue," an album that probably still has something to say today! If young people are told that Italian rock is Vasco and Ligabue, and maybe one of these young people doesn't like them, it's likely they'll say there's no rock in Italy (I'm telling you this because it happened to me; in fact, I played a band for a friend of mine who replied, "Wow, so we can play too"). And that's just not true! Hello everyone and have a good evening.

Well, if we have to make certain comparisons, even Tokio Hotel is rock compared to Britney Spears, because they have the electric guitar, the un-sampled drums, and so on... but it's obvious that this doesn't make it rock! What infuriates me is not that people like Ligabue or Vasco; everyone has their own tastes and listens to what they want. However, we shouldn’t complain when kids think that rock music doesn’t exist in Italy. The moment you play them songs like "Luna Nera" by Strana Officina, or some tracks by Negazione, or whatever album by Vanadium, or one of the many beloved Italian prog works by foreign (even metal) groups, a whole new world opens up for them! In our beautiful country, entire scenes are submerged in favor of two or three singers/bands that supposedly have to appeal to everyone, and I find all this absolutely ridiculous! Hello everyone and have a good evening.

Well-written review, but I'm sorry this is not rock! Here in Italy, we have a habit where all it takes is a guy farting on an electric guitar and saying some cheesy pseudo-rebellious lines into a microphone, and we immediately talk about rock; this fantastic genre is something else: expressive freedom, even jarring contaminations, real rebellion and not stereotyped (even emos don't feel understood by society!), anger, melancholy, poetry, etc..... Hello everyone and have a nice evening.

I liked the film; it was entertaining, charming, and had a truly beautiful disillusioned ending. I found the dialogues lively, even though I thought the two protagonists, Jackman and Johansson, were a bit stiff. The review is excellent, bye and have a nice day.

I love this album, Springsteen is someone who knows how to speak through music, it doesn't matter if it's with technique, innovation, or anything else, when he picks up his guitar and sings, you feel like he's telling you something, without trying to teach anything, of course, but he leaves you with sensations, emotions that sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you can't ignore... Very often in my difficult moments, they come back, with the voice of the American singer narrating them, and I don’t know why, but after a while, the beats slow down, the breath glides away lightly, and then you can't help but smile!

Excellent review, I won't comment on the artists in question as I really listen to very little Italian music, even though I respect many singer-songwriters, like De André, despite not finding their proposal appealing. Hello everyone and good afternoon.

Great review! A smooth and calm analysis. As for the album, my rating is a one because they don't sit well with me; sure, I've listened to a few catchy tunes as a kid (I think "Hanno ucciso l'Uomo Ragno" and "Nord Sud Ovest Est"), but certain heavyweights like "Una canzone d'amore" have always annoyed me. Hello everyone and have a good day.

Great review, just like the album! A wonderful example of Italian rock, dreamy and romantic, provocative and rebellious. Now let's see how the new album will turn out; I liked "Sole nero" and I have high hopes! Bye and have a good evening.

In fact, fortunately, the internet (if used wisely and not just for nonsense) allows us to see, listen to, and learn about everything. My discourse on commercial matters refers precisely to what you said; radios and TVs need to sell to survive, so they implement marketing strategies aimed precisely at that purpose, they test the waters, gauge the trends of the moment, or the prevailing moods to create those trends, and then operate in the expected direction. It can be a bit annoying having to always see the same videos on TV or hear the same music on the radio, but in the end, between the internet (the Myspace pages of bands are very useful for getting an idea about a band you might not know), a few magazines, and a well-stocked store, everyone can listen to and watch what they like the most. Hello everyone and have a good day.
