When they arrested the serial rapist in Rome (I don't remember the name) at the press conference, on the usual desk that hosts the weapons when they arrest the camorristi or the drugs for the drug traffickers, they placed, among porno magazines, street maps of Rome, erotic toys, a DVD of A Clockwork Orange found in the rapist's home. A clear example of "medicalization."

Look, in my opinion, they haven't always thought. But I'm not saying this in a "how disgusting!" tone... it's a simple observation. Take the poorest slice of the population in any nation... well, what could those people possibly care about Orwell or de Tocqueville? What could possibly interest them aside from lottery tickets? Why did Marxism exclude the underclass and disdain it so much? Because those people didn't give a damn about the revolution, rightly so, because they didn't have the time to think, the necessary time to lift their eyes to the sky, as Fichte would say... this is because Marx didn't even know what face this underclass had; he judged it by abstraction. Or rather, an underclass could only exist in relation to a working class (big deal!), hence in England. But in Russia, in Italy, and in all places where the industrial revolution was not yet complete? It was all underclass, they were all wretched. They couldn't think for obvious reasons; we don’t think because they’ve shut us down, because democracy is a sedative... this was said by Pisacane. The reasons for not thinking have changed, but I believe that the absence of thought is a constant.

Eh Jurix, you're right, but that's not a thought... for me. The truth, always for me, is that not everyone thinks, and those who think can't think about anything else. It sounds like a stupid Chinese proverb :)
