Ezekiel, don't get too worked up or you'll let out a fart.

Ezekiel, calm down before you have a heart attack. Next time you watch a movie, don't start making out; just watch it and you'll see it will go better.

Good job, Pixies, you are clever. You repeated the same thing I said and didn't even realize it. How nice, well done.

No one has compared Nirvana to the Crue, but you’re talking about Nirvana as if it were Crue, meaning plastic thrown together to convert young minds... just to use one of your expressions ;) Regarding the discussion - I feel sorry for you if you think there's something to understand - there's nothing to understand. You've repeated the same things that have been said for the past twenty years.

Spirit, if you're talking about Italy that's one thing, but if you're making a statement like "Nevermind worldwide," you're mistaken. Italy doesn't count because we're a branch of the empire, but Geffen's approach to Nevermind was not commercially orthodox. I’ll just share a few facts: 1) the video for Smells Like Teen Spirit was directed by an up-and-coming filmmaker, and if you want to make money, if you’re launching a boy band, you don’t rely on a novice. 2) The first time it was aired, it was shown at 3 AM, and I doubt there were hordes of teenagers awake at that hour to watch it and then, eventually, buy the record. 3) Geffen, based on the sales of Sonic Youth's "Goo," thought that, with a bit of luck, they would sell at most 500,000 copies within a year. 4) The huge difference between Cobain and all the bands you’re citing is that Nirvana paid for their first album themselves for $606, and for the first 100 shows of their career in the USA, they didn’t make a single dollar. I understand you may not like them; that’s your problem, but to consider them sellouts, to compare them to Poison, Mötley Crüe, and other hairsprayed bikers is absurd. If we're going to start discussing the causes of a suicide, then goodbye. As Cesare Pavese said... everyone has a good reason to kill themselves.

But where do you buy the records, in the Jungle? :)
