But didn't you say that now that you've become a ghostwriter, you no longer have time?

Instead, unlike that piece of trash The Reader, it's not just a god of a film, but Winslet is amazing and oddly looks hot. Setting aside the fact that it’s secretly a continuation of American Beauty – since it picks up where American Beauty left off – it’s a great film in itself, with so many references to 20th century philosophy that it eventually becomes “boring.” After all, bread for those without teeth is truly too hard. Anyway, the Oscars are a load of crap, but we already knew that... they give the Oscar to Winslet for the usual film, with the usual bullshit, with the usual nonsense – the Oscars for films where Germans are cold, evil and blah blah blah are default – and where she spends half the time acting in disguise, and this is what makes the difference!?! Nothing, but still... may a cold, evil German screw you over, blah blah blah. To those at the Oscars, huh.

I wanted to say... today I stopped by the bookstore and Newton has reprinted The 120 Days of Sodom for 6 euros. Since it's on sale at the moment, you can find it for 4.90. In short, it might interest someone. Now I'm sending the link to this page to Newton and I'm getting paid for it. End of advertisement.

Beautiful Greg, I mostly agree, also because I consider the first album a colossal masterpiece. The second one, I received as a gift on vinyl and, to be honest, I tried to appreciate it, but I just can't. It's superficial from top to bottom, complete with the phrase "you'll pay dearly, you'll pay for everything." Three good songs, the rest is a colossal bore. What really pisses me off is that they’ve shifted to "indie by misfortune," a nice wide circle in Italy made up of people who apparently despise the mainstream but are trying to break into it, continuing to hate it because they don’t fit in. Like you, judging by what you review, I’m also a carbonaro (what a shitty word) who pours over mailing lists for records pressed in 300 copies... those are not "indie by misfortune." And it’s not about selling... because everything is for sale. It’s that there needs to be a certain dignity in selling. For example, I absolutely adore MGMT because they manage to sell tons of records without shifting their path one bit. They do the same things they did when they played at university in front of 15 people, and now they’re blowing up because another bunch of people sees something in them. Teatro, like ALL the other Italian groups that hover around the mainstream, had to become, to access this area, assholes, become banal, do interviews where they repeat the same 15 concepts, producing shitty songs. It happened with Marlene, with Afterhours, and it will always happen because here rock doesn't have a real culture of its own. What particularly annoys me is that Paolo, unlike any Manuel Agnello, has the audacity to claim to create culture; they are turning him into some kind of intellectual, something he doesn’t even believe in. It’s almost as if we should thank him, and thus there are documentaries like "Se fossi figo" that tell you look, music doesn’t pay the bills, he works as a waiter in everyday life. So what?!? And why the hell should I care?!? Now he becomes a hero because he works as a waiter? These people discover the moon; they are idiots and discover the moon because they’ve never stopped for a second to gaze at the stars. Now, sure, Teatro can blaze a trail, but they do it at the moment they’ve become banal and mediocre. When they were tearing it up from here to Australia, nobody gave a damn about them... and so, for these people, it’s probably better to not pave any path. Rather, throw them down.

No, if they're good-looking, no one listens to them; if they suck, a thousand people listen. It doesn't depend on them, it really comes down to the fact that people are assholes. Look at that, now even an idiot with the username teenagelobotomy (what a fitting name), who doesn't even know what the word "nihilism" means, is listening to them... and I'd like to know what this idiot knows about post-hardcore, what he has listened to, does he know Jawbox, Scratch Acid, etc.? Just saying, you know. Honestly, I couldn't care less. Anyway, if Capovilla likes being used as an example by the scum he's surrounded by, that's his problem; there are people who have a fetish for overweight women, but I'm free to say that I think they suck and that I can't stand them. Anyway, yeah, who cares. The really interesting thing is that this teenagelobotomy is truly a moron... I had an inkling, but now I'm sure of it. I need to come here more often on debaser. And anyway, teenagelobotomy, cheer up: no one, at least I, called him a sellout. Capovilla, in this regard, is like Pino Scotto. He doesn't sell out because no one buys him.

The "... that nothing should go to waste ..." clashes with another theory, that of "the theory of waste." You’re hooking up with a girl with big tits? Well, don’t touch her breasts. "While a pair of lips seal the sphincter apparatus where the sperm is percolating." Kind of a snowball effect... link to a movie that should be shown in schools: Anyway, oh, nice review.

Greg, trust me on two things: 1) They started to become likable to people when they first changed management and then their "sound" and approach. This banal and rhetorical drift was taken because if you give a bull Le affinità elettive, it won't read it, but it will eat it. I saw them six times. The first time, their first album hadn't even been released yet, there were 30 of us and they shattered everything, but really with their soul. The second time, the first album had been out for 20 days and there were again 30 people, and they completely smashed it, playing badly, and this is part of the second point :) 2) The last time I saw them was in August 2008 and they were playing badly, as usual, but perfectly. When they played badly, not giving a damn since those in front of them weren’t fools who buy the album and place it among Battiato, Guccini, Linea77, Baustelle, and Afterhours, so in their bad playing they had to be extreme, to avoid the reputation of those who had drunk their brains out (and in fact they had... just check the early reviews about them on this site). Now they play badly, but on top of that, they have to sell records to fools, since with the old politics things weren’t going well, so they have to seem "professional, but not too much," "mean, but not too much," "distracted, but not too much," etc. They are finished. Stop, there’s nothing more to say. They made an album that shatters everything, they lost the member with the balls (aha, this is beautiful) and at the same time Paolo decided to win the Nobel Peace Prize... and the Nobel Peace Prize is only given to boring and banal people.

Go Geb, I imagine the smash at a concert of those ignorant Cro-Mags! And the pogo-gay at a nice old school Emo concert never tried, like with Cap'n Jazz or Braid? It must be a rejuvenating experience, I can only imagine it :)
