A gypsy drives calmly down the road in his brand-new Mercedes when, all of a sudden, one of the front tires goes flat. He gets out of the car cursing and prepares to change it when a Fiat Panda special pulls up alongside, driven by another gypsy who asks if he needs a hand with the car. The Mercedes owner says, "Yeah man, thanks a lot!" So the other guy grabs a rock and smashes the window of the Mercedes. The furious car owner yells, "What the hell are you doing? Are you trying to destroy the car?" and the other gypsy replies, "Didn't you tell me I could help you? Well, I am; you take the wheels and I'll take the stereo!"

I'm also on the side of those who think like me! And all the others are nobody! ;D Jokes aside, quality comes first. Being derivative isn't a bad thing if you reinterpret the sources in a personal way. The IQs do this and they do it well. And then prog, new prog, prog metal... they're just definitions we make up to describe music. But we all know they're as useful as a colander without holes. That said, the album in question is nice (3 and a half is my rating), but I definitely prefer "The Wake" and "Ever."

Rece as always exemplary. The album, on the other hand, didn't resonate with me; I find them to be Anglagard without soul.

They are very good and personable. But you are right when you say that they don't fully convince. This is their best album, in my opinion, and rightly so, "Into the Night" is the most convincing track. Well done!
