"Pictures at eleven," "Fate of Nations," and "Mighty rearranger." All different from each other, so it’s hard to tell which leans more towards your preferences. I don't know your tastes, but I would venture to say that you might like "Mighty rearranger" the most.

I liked Babel quite a bit too, but it’s not exactly a page-turner...

I confess that the albums from "principle" to "now and zen" don't drive me crazy. "Manic Nirvana" isn't bad; it has some really solid tracks and a few that are a bit weak. I literally adore "Fate of Nations" and the aforementioned ones.

I thank that greedy Ivo for his always flattering mentions. I still haven't perfectly understood your tastes, but you would probably enjoy Plant's latest works more. Like "Mighty Rearranger" mentioned by Donnie or "Dreamland," and probably also "Raising Sand" with Alison Krauss. @donnie: we are on the same wavelength; I felt like one of the few who appreciated Plant's solo career.

Even though it’s a bit too long, the review deserves top marks. I don't know this work, but Alan Parsons Project is one of those bands I always enjoy revisiting. "Eye in the Sky" and "Turn of a Friendly Card" are albums I appreciate a lot. R.I.P. Eric.

@liddjs: you nailed the speech about the microphones in front of the amplifiers, which were two instead of just one, and at different distances. Page called it "the ambient effect." I logically also really like the subsequent period. Except for "In through the out door" and "Coda." However, I don't agree with the oversimplification of the drum parts. Just listen to "Achilles Last Stand" and "Nobody's Fault but Mine" from Presence, for example. Anyway, I repeat, it’s clear that everyone has their own tastes. For instance, I only like The Who a little, but I recognize their worth.

Splinter, you basically just confirmed what Dreamwarrior and Anatas said... Open your horizons, kid.

@blech: that's exactly why I talked about extension ;D In reality (and fortunately) a voice is also measured by other aspects. Otherwise, Albano would be among the best singers on the planet :DDD

@Ligdjs: it's clear that these are your personal tastes, because actually Led Zeppelin IV and Physical Graffiti are considered by many to be the most beautiful albums by Zeppelin. Personally, I always prefer the first one. By the way, it's from ZOSO onwards that the sound became more modern and therefore current to this day. But I want to clarify that the dark and retro sound of the early albums is intentional; it's a specific recording technique devised and invented by Page, making use of unusual amplifier placements in the studio. Bonzo himself used aluminum foil to line his drums and make the sound heavier.
