@geb: the traffic has indeed varied quite a bit, but generally their period from 70 to 74 is associated with prog. It's not my decision, though!

Freebird, chill out, your Juve will disappoint you for a couple more years. But football isn't everything. Try to find satisfaction in something else. Get laid a bit, listen to some good music, but forget about those little games that are driving you crazy. Come on, you still have time to bounce back.

My opinion: until "A Change of Seasons," Dream Theater released great albums. Unfortunately, the departure of Kevin Moore gave free rein to the loose cannons Petrucci and Portnoy, who could no longer contain their excesses.

Sorry, I made an incomprehensible association that feels like a lynching... the Rush album is 2112 (not 2020).

@geb> from the 80s onwards (I avoid prog metal): anglagard "hybris", landberk "one man tell's another", anekdoten "from within", asia minor "between flesh and divine", porcupine tree "fear of a blank planet". For the varied prog of the seventies, here’s a "panoramic" suggestion: rush "2020", jethro tull "aqualung", yes "fragile", colosseum "valentyne suite", traffic "john barleycorn must die". I took into account what you said, that you already know VDGG and King Crimson and that you don’t like Genesis.

From my point of view, this album is a good prelude to Rush's 90s masterpiece, "Counterparts." The rating would be a 3.5, but I round it up due to the value of this immense band. Good review.

Perhaps I was wrong in the conversation about hyperproduction. This already falls within your standards. Well, I can't always say smart things, can I? I don't know this group, but they seem interesting.

Maybe it's the overproduction, but I find this review less inspired than usual. Or more probably, you've gotten us used to decidedly high standards. Still, good job anyway. I really like White Lion, especially Pride, and I don’t know what to expect from Tramp as a solo artist.
