I'm here to share my thoughts. 1) Sloman is not only a great singer, but he also has an original timbre and an exceptional ability to modulate his voice. 2) I agree that he probably wasn't the most suitable singer to replace Lawton (who already had difficulty making people forget Byron), but I believe that "Conquest" is criticized mostly because it deviates from the Heep style. 3) Despite this, for me, "Conquest" is one of the most beautiful albums by Heep. 4) The remastered edition contains a spine-tingling version of "Think it over." Now I'll move on to Abominog, which I consider a good album very FM-oriented, but without any particular peaks.
