Lucio Battisti Una Giornata Uggiosa

Among the old man's vinyls, there are heaps of Battisti's. Maybe one day I'll dust them off and put them on the turntable. I need to wipe from my mind the stereotype that Battisti = Canzone del Sole and nothing else :)

Fuck, if Darth Vader says it (the one who claims that the '90s Pink Floyd are not for the masses :)) that these Depeche Mode are stage animals, we have to believe it!
Thin Lizzy Vagabonds of the Western World

Damn, I liked them some time ago. They've faded a bit over time (their truly valid albums are maybe a couple, for me) but, like all hard-rock bands, a genre that almost never knows how to evolve.

Anyway, yours was always good advice ;) The reviewer should really listen to the first Dinosaur before crapping out these abortions.

No, I feel the same way about Bug (and maybe even more, since it's THE album by J Mascis). Anyway, I also prefer You're Living All Over Me, but for sentimental reasons.

No, what influences. The Meat Puppets and the Minutemen I tell you in hindsight. To me, you’re talking about their teenage spleen a bit awkward... There’s no other explanation :)

Well, you’re talking about sound? The only similarity I see between the Huskers (God bless them) and the Dinosaurs (them too) is the guitar drenched in effects (even though the ways of playing are veeeery different). In the first album by the Dinosaurs, you can also hear Crazy Horse, Meat Puppets, and in Cats in a Bowl a bit of rhythms à la Minutemen (from afar), but I just don’t hear the Huskers in there at all. Maybe you’re referring to the adolescent angst that oozes from both the Huskers' and Dinosaurs' songs. I don’t know, maybe that’s what you mean. Clarify ;)

I give it a 4 and I'm at 3.5 with Ale's rating. In fact, this album has too much craftsmanship, but some melodies are really beautiful, as usual (the one from the single "Over It" got stuck in my head after the first listen). The review is total crap; it's so bad it sucks.

I don't know her, she seems cute.

Damn, Blech's pun in comment 24 is really heartbreaking. Anyway, I’ve tasted these jappi... Just because they're jappi, I thought they would do something a little crazier.
