I've always found Death SS ridiculous (I don't want to offend anyone). The review is nice but overly caloric, as usual. I don't think I'll listen to it, even though I get along quite well with doom.
Il Teatro Degli Orrori A Sangue Freddo

Even the first one had two fences, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, a quick observation. I don't understand the reason behind this constant emphasis on the themes tackled by the Teatro. In every piece of writing about the album—even on "Dell'impero delle tenebre"—that I've come across, there was at least one sentence containing "committed themes" (Ken Saro-Wiwa and blah-blah-blah) or "cultured themes" (Majakovskij, Baudelaire, literary references galore and blah-blah-blah). Now, if not writing nonsense (which should be the minimum standard for any group) comes as a surprise, we've really hit rock bottom.

Muffinman vs. his personal demons (pt.2): a clash of titans... oops! Between idiots. But, in the end, is it worse to be an idiot or to be physically unpresentable (quote)?

I think I missed the concert of the year. Yow immortal (let's see if it lasts as long as the Iguana), while Denison is one of my favorite guitarists. Too bad, damn.

Damn, what an evil genius you are, Katarris!

But can you stop talking about Den Vlaams and Katarris as if they were two different people? The pantomime is over. If you wanted to come back here anonymously, you wouldn’t have returned to your reviews to give 5 and ask to "re-evaluate the user Katharsys," you fool that you are. Then, let me repeat. Better to have a clear mind (I’m proud of it, baby, if that’s the case) than to be a fanatical Baptist who rambles about things he barely understands in the name of some fucking God who has been so cruel as to not provide him with even one neuron. Regards: it's prayer time.

Alright, they're all rough terms but "indie" doesn’t refer to a sound, it just indicates a way of making music, so it’s even less helpful, in my opinion. Anyway, "Songs for the Deaf" is a nice album of solid hard rock, seems easy to me. Well, it's always bullshit talk anyway. :) I'm out and closing.

Well, you, Caz, are right, but calling Franz Ferdinand "indie" is a bit disrespectful to those who work their asses off without seeing a dime. It's like those who call Stoner-Rock "No One Knows" by Quozza... It twists the meaning for an incorrect signifier. Once upon a time, we had so many nice terms like Power Pop, Hard Rock, or Pop Rock... now it's trendy to say "indie." :) Anyway, for me, Grohl on drums is great, even though I agree that he needs a solid song already ready to make the floors shake.

Indie is not a synonym for independent, in fact. It means precisely independent.

No, but be careful. Never call "indie rock" Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, and Arctic Monkeys, because they're touchy. A mainstream all-stars band like this can be anything but "indie." ("indie" = independent; Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Strokes = not independent...). I haven't listened to the album yet, but from the comments, I think I'll pass.
