"They did it by moving the experimentation to unimaginable levels for a punk group." Today is the day of no? Well, NO. This is not what makes the Clash unique, for me.

But what, I'm not pointing fingers at anyone. :) I haven't read the other comments except yours and Brat's. Don't blame me for things I didn't do. :) Anyway, listen to whatever you want, as it should be. If, however, you write "if someone puts 1 to X, then they don't understand a Y of music," it's normal for someone to respond to you. Bye

Our "groups" are "semi-unknown" because you don't dig deeper and stop at things that are "universally recognized." I don’t listen to unknown bands that have sold 3 records in their lifetime and have never played outside the garage.

And then here we’re not talking about "music history," we’re just talking about the fact that someone has their ears stuffed with crap. Not because of their tastes, mind you (which are always and rightly so), but because of the random nonsense they spout that makes no sense at all.

Yes, but here it always turns into "be alternative" or "if I listen to this, why can't I listen to that?!" In the end, you can listen to anything, everything, everything. But everything is nothing. And again. Then there are the dogmatic phrases like the one in comment 40, which kind of horrify me. What is "history" is untouchable. In twenty years, we will do the same thing with Tokio Hotel, Brat. And this is just music, fortunately.

I read comments 40 and 44 in a row, and I couldn't help but smile a little. I didn't know about Donnie Dark, but Brat is a confirmation. Anyway, yes, it takes little to make people happy if the Queen is untouchable...

Anyway, besides Nuggets, which is a classic, for compilations that highlight gems from unknown '60s groups, I recommend the Mindrocker collections, which should be printed in Germany. I'm looking for them...

I have always preferred Combat Rock.

You are my favorite. Among the most beautiful pages I've read in months. Seriously, it's good for the eyes. And I'm going to look for it. It's out of print; have they reissued it? Let me know. One must always dig deeper.
