Actually, it's the opposite: Ness has his roots firmly planted in American "roots" tradition and accidentally ended up in punk. This is a return to his origins, no doubt about it. Plus, it's a really great album that I listen to more often than those by Social Distortion (in this regard, it's more "authentic"). One of my teenage heroes.

Even the one with his hands in his pockets, but at least there you know where to look (in the pockets). It's better not to fight, but it's also not so nice to abuse the word "violence" until it becomes devoid of all meaning. These days you hear on the news that in Italy there is a climate of hatred and violence towards the Prime Minister, doesn't it get on your nerves to hear that?

I missed it last night. And I confess. I would have gone for what Bob Mould was, not for what he is today. Even though he remains one of my idols, I would have asked for a refund if he hadn't performed "Celebrated Summer," especially since I don’t know any of his solo albums (whereas I do know both Hart’s first solo album and the Nova Mob records). Who among you doesn’t hope for a Husker Du reunion?
