Trallallà. (P.S., I agree about the cover: quite anonymous... U2 set the standard with theirs.)

Sure, William Orbit has produced a lot of junk!

Stoney, the truth is that the center-left has changed too much over the last twenty years. It has changed multiple times. Today, it reflects the ideologies of the American Democrats or, in the most extreme cases, the New Labour in England. Nonsense. They have decided that being a communist is a shame, that the workers and laborers no longer exist (unless they get burned at the workplace, but only after that), they must not exist in the thoughts and minds of Italians (who themselves are workers, but that’s not important... in fact, it’s a handicap, as even the television says). This left is fine with everything: it's fine to play politics on TV (they know they will lose, but who cares? Their businesses can keep them going anyway), it's fine that in elections you can't even "prefer" (I'm still wondering about the difference between a Carfagna and one Pina Picierno - a left-wing woman, so much so she graduated with a thesis on Ciriaco De Mita... - forced upon the Campanian voters of the Pd as the lead candidate), it's fine that there are only two parties because pluralism is too "complicated". Geeno, unfortunately, I don’t believe in a left willing to "go back" on its steps: they have worked hard to reach this point. The left should speak to the people, but also be made by the people. Politics should be experienced, people should feel involved. And it’s true that the Italian population has become quite "brutalized" over the last twenty years, but they haven't even tried to involve them. I (a Neapolitan from Naples) when I go out into the street, you know what the only party offices I see are? Those of Mastella... But I don’t even want to know what they do and say inside! You finally ask me if being on the left pays off electorally today. Maybe we’ll never know, but I can tell you that Prodi defeated Berlusconi twice and, coincidentally, in both instances there was a significant result from the left components. Dear wrecking ball, the respect is truly mutual. But it seems too little for me to reciprocate, so I rush to love it!

It seems to me that we will all die. Anyway, macaco, tell us everything. You wouldn’t want to make us go to church to find out how it ends, would you?
U2 Achtung Baby
Voto:
Oh well, this is a great album. As far as I'm concerned, friends, U2 gave their best in the nineties and "Achtung Baby" is perhaps their best work. It's beautiful, I like it. A rather brief review and, come on, this is certainly not an album that’s very difficult (that might be the next one, "Zooropa"). It can be appreciated - or despised, of course - on the first listen.
Luigi Pirandello Uno, Nessuno E Centomila

Hi fedee! I’ll tell you, back in high school I opened books only a few times, but that "geographical" "detail" about Pirandello didn’t escape me at all. Anyway, I’ve drawn a distinction between anti-democratic and fascist. But it’s true, however, that you’re not entirely wrong, since the concept of "democracy" is quite broad and in some ways poorly defined (and even malleable depending on the intentions of those who use it). Pirandello’s "convenient fascism," on the other hand, is unjustifiable. He was wrong, just like many other Italians. Yet you can’t even say about him "He was ignorant..." because, like it or not, he was still a man of letters and theaters. As for D'Annunzio, well, not much to say: far from being "a madman in a good way," he was an asshole. He knew how to write, that’s for sure, but he still remains an asshole.

Alessio, the truth is that Baggio during those World Cups was overwhelming, exhilarating, and engaging. And even that moment of the missed penalty (as you rightly point out in the review), despite everything, was a moment of immense intensity. Great moments. Much more than Grosso...

Stuff for fascists and pseudo-metalheads... To be honest, I definitely prefer other local authors and, specifically, proudly Southern ones, to Pirandello. Nevertheless, it must be said that he did write something good, and we have to acknowledge it. However, I understand Alessio's frustration: school, all in all, provides a run-of-the-mill education, scraps and snippets of the usual three or four names, because who really cares, right? But, given how quickly times and things change... It would be wise to hold onto Pirandello tightly. In two years, he will be replaced by some Moccia or other. But D'Annunzio will remain, so that some old (but even young, come on) loyalist of the Msi can still proudly listen to tales of his marvelous airborne exploits without too much trouble. After all, there’s not much difference between fascist and anti-democratic: a couple of purges and we're all square.
