I correct myself, "pinky and ring finger."

Django was an exceptional character. A brilliant guitarist and an elusive artist. He was a manouche (not a gypsy), "he comes and goes, stops in the street when we think he’s about to move on or changes direction without warning." To the Roma, he is much more than a great musician (among other things, it seems that many still play today without using their index and ring fingers, in "homage" to their myth): he is a hero. Anyway, he went in search of fortune in the States. But without success. For all these things, I refer you, in addition to listening to his masterpieces, to reading the excellent "Django. Il gigante del jazz gitano" by Alain Antonietto and Francois Billard. Maybe I’ll review it sooner or later.

I’m happy to finally read a worthy review of this beautiful and, alas, underrated film. It’s not one of Woody Allen’s most well-known movies, but it’s certainly my favorite. "Sweet and Lowdown" aims to be a heartfelt and sincere homage and tribute to Django, a genius often forgotten and overlooked. Emmet Ray (an extraordinary Sean Penn) is a second. One of those who, no matter how talented, never comes in first. Nor can he come to terms with it, plagued by inner turmoil and suffering. Paranoid, he grapples with feelings of inferiority and never feels accomplished. He enjoys watching trains go by, shooting at mice, and when he can, he gladly turns to the bottle. From this perspective, yes, Emmet is a true artist. One of those who aren’t very good at making money or staying in the limelight. To this day, Emmet Ray remains perhaps the most complete and complex character among those portrayed by the good old Woody Allen. Hattie (Samantha Morton) is simply beautiful. Much more than the "ninja" Uma Thurman.

Tombola? Oh dear, I'm quite perplexed. I'll leave the floor to the more experienced. I'll read you impatiently.

Hi and scattered thanks to everyone. Beautiful and ugly. Uhuh, I second your enthusiasm. The live performances of these guys are truly magnificent. I don't know if you had the chance to catch the duo Cambuzat-Manchion during the infamous "Cargo Cult" tour, but I can tell you they made quite a bit of "noise" even as a duo. Dearest destroyer, "serious"? I'm rushing to write a DeCaso!

I almost forgot. Albertone is perfect in the role of the marquis because the marquis is Albertone.

I have to raise the standard. I like this film. Everything makes sense. It works. And Albertone is in dazzling form. Perfect in the role of the marquis. However, dear Maurinho, I don't think everyone realizes how low our country has fallen. Nor do Marinetti's deeds and ideologies seem to have brought any benefit or new vigor to the Italian lands at the time.
