Hi Bartle. I wonder what the cheerful and sly colonel thinks about human cases. In fact, I read somewhere that he intends to acquire 35% of DeBaser...

These questions are outrageous. Nothing but a joke from this communist and Catholic-communist minority that owns 90% of the newspapers...

(See the link posted in comment 39) Ferretti writes to Il Foglio: "... I will think of you crowding the polling stations... I am insensitive to whinings, to painful private stories, to obvious desires... Excellent company of animals. To say one: Nubia, an aging mountain mare, matron of the stable. To get bred, a month ago, during her heat, she hurt herself badly, wounded to death. We took care of her. She’s already lively; will she give birth? It would be very nice, but it’s not to be expected. She did get bred; one hopes. She, bitchy and improper, raises her tail, curls it, stretches it, arches her neck in the evening breeze. Ah desire! Flood me with spring! From above I will think of you crowding down there in the leaden, purplish, pallid plains, the polling stations of your bloodless sterile, politically correct desires. I sing and dance and laugh, and happily I despair. Drunk on life, on wine, if I feel like it (I’m not ashamed), on smoke, if it’s given to me as a precious gift. I don’t know who will win, but I’m not afraid. This is the beginning of what will be: the majority of the accounts are still pending. Uhaaah! I sincerely wish for excellent enemies and the benevolent gaze, even if furrowed, that deserves better and more, of God." I separate religion from politics. But Ferretti, just like his beloved and exciting mare, has always had blinders on. His ideology has always been weak, made of symbolism and imagery more than content. He has only changed the texts to memorize. And yes, he has been a great interpreter (he still is), and as a writer, I never loved him, but that’s another story; he manages quite well (with texts, since "Reduce" might be a bit of a burden), but even Sandro Bondi says he doesn’t renounce his past and sheds a few tears listening to the International. Let’s give him a few smacks too; he deserves it.

My super santos were usually taken by the "grumpy guys in tank tops" of the day. Anyway, Double Dragon has always been a fun diversion from the usual fundamental, but also not-so-fundamental, games of five-a-side football. A legendary "classic old-school beat 'em up." I haven't played it in at least fifteen years (good old Commodore Amiga), but your review reminded me of every single moment of this epic video game. I need to go find it again. The sad fate of the red twin (by the way, was there also the "infamous" green twin or am I just imagining it?) somewhat recalls that of Luigi Bros. The "Thank Heavens!" has always only been heard by Mario.

Interesting comment from saab. But perhaps a bit "mean" (strictly in quotes). One Hundred Years, besides being an unfortunately unforgettable film by Ninì Grassia with the duo Gigi D'Alessio-Mario Merola, is now a classic. Therefore, it enjoys inevitable notoriety. I loved Marquez's "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and "Chronicle of a Death Foretold" (the latter also has a pretty good cinematic adaptation by the usual great Francesco Rosi with the usual Volonté). I have been defeated by "Love in the Time of Cholera," a book I have never managed to finish. Perhaps Marquez has worn me out a bit. But One Hundred Years of Solitude is impeccable. Five. If only for the presence of the timeless hero Colonel Aureliano Buendía and his thirty-two revolutions.

One. That said, there is little to be surprised about in the collapse of Refoundation if its main figures were, more or less, Luxuria and Caruso. We are in deep trouble. But that is another story.

A few years ago, the God Machine/Sophia were among my go-to listens. Then I lost track of them. I wouldn't know where to pick them up again. Maybe I’ll just go get this album to savor them once more. But if you have better suggestions for listening, feel free to share. See you very soon. P.S. As far as I remember, they don’t have much in common with the highly esteemed Boston karateki. P.P.S. Impeccable review.
