CCCP - Fedeli alla linea Canzoni, preghiere, danze del II Millennio
Voto:
A record that honestly left me wanting. I am historically skeptical about the ideological content of the CCCP's work: I find this aspect is emphasized and highlighted more for aesthetic reasons than for any real content. Giolindo was a dogmatic, and he still is. He has just changed his reference text. He remains an excellent interpreter.
Soundgarden Down on the Upside

Sufficient disk: I put it away after a few listens. It's worth mentioning, though, that they never really drove me crazy.

Wow, thanks for stopping by. As for Alessandra, let's say this is more of a prologue than an ending. Tackling the homepage? Sooner or later, I'll have to. Anyway, being among the DeCasi, of course, doesn't bother me. ElectricOne, I appreciate the compliments. Your personal profile is unsettling. Then you wonder why people decide to distance themselves from church and religions...
99 Posse Cerco Tiempo

Stoney, your reflection on the dialect is interesting and accurate. The dialect of the 99 posse is a pointless and annoying show-off, a claim to present themselves as representatives and guardians of a popular culture that simply does not belong to them. Their origins have little to do with it: theirs is a "forced" dialect.
David Bowie Hours
Voto:
I have no polemical intentions, but this doesn't seem to me one of the worst albums in Bowie's post-'80s discography. On the contrary. In my opinion, along with Reality and the excellent 1.Outside, it's the best release since Scary Monsters to date. In any case, it's an album from '99: hard to be an outsider for too many years.

Fundamental review.

A bow. Spectacular review.
The Zen Circus & Brian Ritchie Villa Inferno
Voto:
Brian Ritchie? Harrison on keyboards?! A real surprise. I miss the album, but the final quote is one to frame and it makes you want to listen to the record. Terry, you're being too harsh on Reja: it was a foreseen defeat. And then take away Lavezzi and Hamsik from this Napoli and you’ve really diminished them.

I don't even want to talk about the chubby vocalist. On a musical level, political militancy isn't enough to save this mess. On a strictly political level, one consideration: the awareness that 99 Posse and Caruso are the best the Neapolitan political scene has produced in the last twenty years is disheartening. We've hit rock bottom.
Cesare Basile Gran Calavera Elettrica
Voto:
Consecration of Cesare Basile. An album surpassed by the perfection of the subsequent Hellequin Song, but there's nothing to say about this one either. Unfortunately, I haven't listened to the latest one. John Parish is a stellar producer. Beautiful, and a beautiful review.
