Wow, the opening themes of the '80s Japanese cartoons were so beautiful. Then this one came and ruined everything. The only comeback I've appreciated is that of AC/DC, but for them it's different; they are always themselves and always sound the same. In short, an AC/DC album is always an AC/DC album, even after 30 years. It's a limitation of theirs, but in the end, it's also a quality; at least you know what to expect. And then AC/DC are fun, they’re likable, and the likability factor shouldn't be underestimated.

amazing review. long, complete and well-written. the live performance in question is truly beautiful. almost on par with Made in Japan. however, in CHILD IN TIME at the beginning of the first high note, Gillan hits a terrible flat note. but it's in those moments that you see what a great singer he was; any other would have been negatively affected by that mistake, instead he recovers well and in the subsequent high notes, he is perfect. in short, a remarkable demonstration of personality.
