A friend of mine has it, and he says it's great; maybe this is the right time for me to get it mastered.

It's a shame that there's so much dispersal and disorder in Hendrix's posthumous albums; he didn't deserve all this mess. I'm not referring, of course, to the album in question and its quality, especially since I don't know it, but to the barbaric way in which his recordings have been handled.

Great reception and a great album. I agree with those who said that Echoes is definitely better in Live At Pompei. The majestic simplicity of One of these days is disarming. The rest is good, but nothing particularly inspired.

Well done, Federico, you have old school tastes! I’m not familiar with this album, aside from a few tracks, but I’ve always liked them. The cover invites coupling almost as much as that of Lovedrive, which I’ve never understood if it’s the breast reaching out to the hand, or the hand reaching out to the breast, but I welcome both interpretations. Well, yes, this civil and calm hard rock/heavy metal debate (how nice!) is neither the first nor the last, considering somewhat cross-over bands like Scorpions or AC/DC. I agree with CPT in considering the Scorpions more hard rock than heavy metal, especially in light of the metal scene in recent years. But it’s also true that back in the day, the two genres were often confused, and the term Heavy Rock was commonly used, which I’ve never understood if it was a synthesis between the two or a synonym for one of the two genres. It should also be noted that in the late '70s and early '80s, even bands like Queen, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple were often labeled heavy metal, even though they had nothing to do with true metal. So yeah, it’s all a beautiful mess, which is why I’ve started to think that in the end, it’s all just fucking Rawk N Roll!
