Fosca, I like you. Zazou, not so much. Anyway, great thing not to have mentioned the premature passing of our (oops...I did it myself...sorry).

Neither of them brings me sadness. On the contrary, they return joy to me (more Drake's velvet than Wyatt's languor, to be fair). It's others (from Madonna down) who guarantee me massive doses of sadness.

One of the albums of the year, for sure, considering the shortcomings of others. I disagree with the notion that it might be considered an "angular" album in the future: the influences are too evident and the inability to break free from eighties obsessions is clear; this doesn’t stop me from really liking this example of shitgaze (a journalistic coinage for a non-existent scene) quite a lot. But I too pay the price for the decade from which we never emerge alive.

Lucy, these are different things. They are just grades, good for statistics and to give an idea. Three means fair to poor. Assuming that Gelmini hasn’t removed it from the grading scale, fair is the record, fair is the review. For me. And unless I change my mind, since I will try to listen to it with fresh ears.
