The 3rd and the Mortal In This Room

"In This Room" is a FOLLOW-UP to "Painting On Glass", at least inform yourself. I don't vote because otherwise, just like usual, a mess comes out for nothing.
Ulver Themes From William Blake's The Marriage Of Heaven And Hell

Excellent review, extremely strange and fascinating record. Over the last two weeks, it has really captivated me (maybe because I’m preparing for an English literature exam and there’s also the great William in the mix? :D). It’s striking the way they cut ties with the past. Garm/Trickster G’s voice here is spine-tingling, it enchants me in an absurd way. The experimentation is spot on, the atmosphere is irresistible... the only flaw is, as you rightly point out in the review, the excessive length and the feeling that something could have been left out. But aside from that, it’s truly a worthy record.

I read RUGBY? :D Loosehead = left prop, which in the scrum is on the left side, unlike the tighthead (right) who is positioned between the hooker and the other left prop :)
Doomsword Let Battle Commence

@DEFENDER: yes, that's exactly it! Ahahahah :D Our professor of Germanic Philology mentioned it during a class... because the saga in question is found in the same manuscript (which is now preserved in Copenhagen) where the Saga of the Volsungs is transcribed :)

This is the only album of theirs that I've heard and I must say it's very beautiful. I agree on the best tracks: "Woden's Reign" and "The Siege." I haven't read the lyrics, I'll have to do that... One note: from what I found, Ivarr was the son of Loðbrók (where <ð> is pronounced like the <th> in "there"). Hail the mighty Wotan! :D Better if I don't get lost in linguistic explanations of Odin's name otherwise I'll never finish ahahaha XD See you next time!

Beautiful beautiful beautiful. One note: "where the trembling horizon melts away." I had listened to this album a year and a half ago, then I abandoned it. But your review is a good invitation to pick it up again...
Anathema The Silent Enigma

"...but now let's analyze the album track by track." Oh God, I'm scared. I'm sorry, I won't read it for now; I have pages and pages waiting for me on Provençal troubadours and stuff like that. I need to preserve the little brain I have left :) The album? Just this: THE SILENT ENIGMA.
