Elend The Umbersun
Voto:
For the review, I round up. Of Elend, I ADORE "Wind Cycle," while for "Officium Tenebrarum," I believe that "The Umbersun" is the best piece, although at times it feels too heavy. Regarding the alternation of scream and clean vocals, I don't think it's the same person doing both. I remember the first time I played it, the first few seconds of "Du Tréfonds Des Ténèbres": a furious wind that knocks you to the ground! :D I must say that at times the latest "A World In Their Screams" (which initially didn't grab me but then I fell madly in love with - and still love) reminded me of "The Umbersun." Let me explain: not from a strictly musical perspective or the instrumental tricks (the two cycles are profoundly different in this regard), but from a certain apocalyptic attitude, a violent darkness that takes hold of your mind and tries to drown you in its sea of oblivion. Sooner or later, I need to review "A World In Their Scream." Yes, it's a plea: don't steal my review! :D It will come... Ah, if you haven't already read my review of "Sunwar The Dead," I invite you to do so. It's a real shame that these incredible artists can't continue with this project. I trust in the development of Ensable Orphique... I can't wait for them to release something! Regards!

I really liked the film. I wouldn't give it a 5, but a solid 4 for sure. And it's true, you really empathize with the poor Ed's constant failures. And Johnny Depp is always great!
The Gathering The West Pole

I listened to the album very little: I loved and still love the Gathering from the alternative/trip rock era (from 'How To Measure A Planet?' to 'Home') and this album didn’t make me want to listen to it more than once... a really bad sign! It's true that Silje's voice is quite similar at times, but it seems to me to be too sugary in a negative sense; I miss the delicacy that Anneke used to bring. I miss albums like 'Souvenirs' and (an album I adore) 'Home'... I hope that in the next attempt they give us something more; otherwise, I’ll have to give up :'( In the meantime, I’ll try to listen to this "The West Pole" again... For the review: I round up for excess.
The 3rd and the Mortal Memoirs

The review isn’t bad, but in my opinion, it could have been done much better by focusing more on the atmospheres and structures of the songs (at least some of them). Furthermore, I don’t understand this "parallel" with the Bride (even though I got the intent you had, I personally wouldn’t have included it, that’s all). I’m exaggerating a bit. I also wanted to add that after this album they released a live one with a couple of new tracks ("Project Bluebook", 2005), both heavily influenced by electro-trip hop, which intrigued me more than this "Memoirs".

Sorry, I don't have time to read the review, I'll come back later... in the meantime, I'll comment a bit on the album: I really don't like it! Apart from a handful of songs ("Zeppoliner," "Good Evening Mr. Q," and "Those Of My Kind"), the rest just doesn't do it for me... Instead, I remain attached to the EPs, to "Tears Laid In Earth" and "In This Room," another experimental album but in a decidedly different way, and it struck me (wonderful "Myriad Of Peep-Hole" and "Sort Of Invisible"!).

The review is not bad, especially because it presents a formation that - I believe - is unknown to most, but there are some mistakes here and there: it's written "medievale" (or at most "medioevale") and not "mediovale" (what is it, a medium egg?! ;-) ); the third person singular of the present indicative of the verb 'essere' is written as "è" (with a grave accent) and not "é"; the group you mentioned is called "Amesoeurs" (a deformation of the French word "âme sœurs," which means "soulmates"), but that must have been a simple distraction. The title, however, is not in standard French...can you tell me if it's a distortion of their invention? Anyway, thanks for the suggestion...I don't know if I'll like them, but for now, I'll listen! XD Maybe I'll come back later to vote. And next Wednesday I have a French Language exam :D ...

Uhm...interesting! Well done, bea segnaeasion! Is this review from a meeting of Venetians?! I don't like Spanish, though, even if I like our Venetian dialect a lot! :D The French language is much more beautiful than Spanish!
