@Polkatulk88: look, I don't have an in-depth knowledge of Galas's entire discography, but I wouldn't be able to associate it with anything anyway. One could say it takes some elements that started with Litanies and characterized it from the very beginning (the absurd vocalizations, the inhuman verses, etc.), but here there's no noise background like in the title track of Litanies, for example, and the spoken/recited parts here are extensive. There's no piano (Diamanda's best friend :D), and there's no significant instrumentation. I included some samples anyway; you can give them a listen and get an idea :)

@BoyInTheOcean: yes, you’re right to say it creeps you out :D I'm a "him" anyway... ;-) Thanks for the vote
@Anatas: thanks to you too... By the way, Diamanda is just one person, it's not a band :)
I’ve put some samples so you can have nightmares too! Cheers!

Stunning film. I watched it because I knew it featured the figure of Virginia Woolf and her novel "Mrs Dalloway" (I had to read and analyze it along with two other novels for my English Literature I exam) and it really struck me. I share what cptgaio said, one of the most moving films I have ever seen. Wonderful performance by Kidman who brings to life a disturbed Virginia, always on the brink of exhaustion, leading up to the tragic epilogue. I haven't read the book the film is based on, but the connections with "Mrs Dalloway" made me smile (in a positive, not derogatory way), such as the "contemporary" protagonist named Clarissa just like in the novel, the preparations for the party (even though for different purposes), the flowers - at the beginning of the novel, with that "Mrs Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself" - and the time frame of the narrative, 24 hours. It’s definitely worth watching :)

@CasaMorta ("Somehow I never leave this DEADHOUSE...nanana na na nana naaaaa"): Yeah, I've seen some girls who had the potential to be beautiful (read "hot"), but they ruined everything with "too much." However, I have a FRIEND who has a very dark look and she keeps it balanced, and it all benefits from it :D As for Ensoph: they are one of my favorite bands! :) Besides being awesome, they're also from my area (Veneto) :D So I'm waiting for your comment on the reviews... bye! ;-)
