Behemoth Evangelion

Chaos, I agree, the reading is supportive, indeed I said that for me it was also formally impeccable, but there is nothing of "analysis" of the album, just the citation of a couple of tracks saying that they "give a few hints." For me, this is not analysis, and someone who hasn't heard the album and/or doesn't know Behemoth doesn't understand a thing. There are more lines spent saying that it "is taken for granted" and that "there's better out there." Obviously this is my point of view; if others in a review are looking for different characteristics, they are free to do so :) PS: aaah, what a satisfaction to see that in a review of hard, evil, satanic metal, the discussion is calm while in other types of reviews they tear each other apart, which is a pleasure :D

Fallen is right, they are still influenced by the black of their early days. And if he also told you that the two things can't be compared, trust me, it's true :D

I want to clarify that it's not just kids who listen to them. They aren't emocore, for heaven's sake! What heresy! @ChaosAD: I understand that the user made a review that aligns with your opinion, but I would say it would be more useful to have a more thoughtful evaluation; I mean, you won't tell me that they focused appropriately on the album, right?! But anyway, it's just a number, and it certainly doesn't change my life :)

I start by justifying my vote for the review: to be honest, the album is not mentioned much; instead, you spend a lot more time expressing the idea that – in your opinion – there are several other bands better than Behemoth. And it’s a shame, because formally it’s well-written, but rather lacking in analysis. That said, I move on to the album: the first time I heard it, I honestly didn’t know what to think; but like many albums, it took several listens, and I came to the conclusion that it's a really good album (you might be thinking that I've been influenced by the various reviews online; the answer is no, I read them after listening to it multiple times). I consider Behemoth from the trilogy Demigod-The Apostasy-Evangelion to be quite valid, even though perhaps the peak is Demigod. Curious, I listened to the tracks you suggested on YouTube: nothing comes close to Behemoth, the style is quite different, you can't compare them. Behemoth has an iconoclastic and malevolent aura that I haven’t found in other groups, and their way of creating music is definitely personal. There's much more than just technique. It’s certainly not my intention to change your mind about them or even insult you for not considering them up to par, but I feel I must say that the positive judgment of critics regarding Behemoth is not unfounded. I really regret that you don’t consider them up to par.

@Jurix: "You are one of those people who think that if a child enjoys painting or dancing... it's a problem! Those aren't things for a man!". According to his profile, he's studying DAMS, oddly enough, the most "gay" degree there is, in a sense. So I really don't know what he's trying to get at... is he saying all this just to fill the day?!
